Tried one of these Ibanez Artcore ABG-200s at a brick and mortar near me about a year ago. It was a heavily relic'd natural (fake wormholes and fake imperfections deal) 5 string. Did not grok it was a 5 string when handed to me. Fingers not happy. Otherwise, okay. Okay-ish. Did not buy.
Not at Guitar Center, I checked. Too big looking, plus it got the Kiss of Death Seal from M, so no thanks.
I considered the 5er-for about 5 minutes. Nah. This thing with tapes gives me a very UB-y sound. Which is what I was going for when I bought it. Great for jazz/big band/concert band.

Also keep in mind that I will look stunning, but confused, playing on stage. I wonder how my tone will be? Might be worth it...

I hoped for that UB-y sound with my semi-hollowbody, and could sort-of get there with tapes. Then I put flats on it — a virgin flats player! — and found the right marriage. Good $deity that bass thumps righteously.
Was put off the Ibby more because it was a 5er than anything else.
An actual Real Life Friend ™ says all the pit gigs require a 5 string. He says he'd just as soon not take those gigs any more and stay with his 30-year-old Katana. Oh and he told me there's a Peavey combo in the orchestra pit ....
I used my Les Paul 5er for one(1)concert band...er, concert 'cos of a few low "Do's"(specifically D in "Toccata and Fugue in D minor"). Wasn't really worth the trouble. For subsequent pieces with low notes, I'd just use my octaver.
I use a TC BG250-112 for most of my electric and upright gigs. I have 2 of them.
