I take it that was your Ibanez behind what appears to be a bored drummer's shoulder?
Looks to be about the same shade of Tundra green as one of my MGs!

All that and the fun we have too!

Lol! Yes that was my Ibanez and that’s a bored me sitting at the kit. The color was silver. Tundra green would’ve been what I would’ve picked though fwiw.

The good thing about silver and white instruments is that they pick up the colors of the room. Makes them good for shows/bands that have colored lights as part of their set.

Hello fellow comboites. My bass playing continues to progress. As I have said before my approach to learning the instrument is to play along with whatever song strikes my fancy and really try to get to groove and essence of the song. A lot of times the bassline is just there waiting for me to play it even if I can’t hear the bass or if there is no bass part part. As I’m sure a lot of you know a lot of times it’s just a few notes played in a slightly different rhythm or key that gives a song the necessary movements. Today I played along with Annie Lennox on Why. I am beginning to think that I actually know what I am doing. I have discovered that as long as I keep the rhythm to the song on my right hand I can quickly find the right note on the fretboard.

This is helping me as I try to craft a few songs from the bassline up which seems to be the opposite of how most pop songs are written. But since I am a bassist that’s what I will do. The Mikro has been restring as a piccolo bass and my son has been taking drum lessons. Maybe. Just maybe I can draft him to record a few beats and just loop them.

Howdy all! I’ve been out of the loop here for a while, haven’t had a combo since I let my Rumble 500 go… but today I received my Ampeg RB112 and so far all I can say is wow, what a great sound! I’ve been playing through it with my PBass all evening and it really feels like I’m hearing the tone from my head finally. This sounds “right”. Great sounding little combo and it looks great too!

It's not like most of these combos exist in a vacuum (though I wouldn't put it past a couple of you). They're part of a system that includes musician, bass[es][1], effects, PA, other musicians, room or outdoor acoustics, money, and so much more.
