Boulder is full of stinky hippies though.
I dunno. Tickets are only $20, and this is a 700 capacity place. Might be a good show. I'll see if I can get tickets. The only other thing is I have to drive through Denver to get there.

As far as Repulsion tone, I would say a P (obviously), and a good old pushed tube amp. Mesa 400+, Ampeg VR driven hard would definitely get you in that area tone wise

Funny story-- for the tone on Horrified, Scott Carlson plugged his Squier P-bass into an orange Boss Distortion pedal, which ran straight into the board. Grindcore incarnate.![]()

Oh, and what do you guys think of Acid King?
lol
but live I dont think he did that, or did he?
Anyone else into Queen Elephantine?
Are we counting Geezer Butler in this? What with Black Sabbath being one of the big precursors to Doom.
I'm still trying to work out when doom became trendy, I think it's Southern Lords fault.

Checked em out last night. Some of the songs are pretty good, others...
Well, we'll just say they're epic.
But they have a very interesting sound to them, will listen to further.
No, actually, its Aethenor, another Stephen O'Malley project, this time with David Tibet on vocals.Speaking of Southern Lord.... I'm surprised nobody has mentioned OM. They may lean to the stoner/psych side of the scale, but still pretty doomy... and they're ONLY bass and drums!
