The earth is flat?

Humans made up mathematical language, but the pythagorean theorem works no matter what you call the variables or other signs. Also lots of people are dummies.
Yes I’ve always believed that we didn’t invent maths, just the language and the procedures for calculation. Like you said, the numbers and relationships have always been there no matter what you call them.

Turtles All The Way Down

"Turtles all the way down" is an expression of the problem of infinite regress. The saying alludes to the mythological idea of a World Turtle that supports the earth on its back. It suggests that this turtle rests on the back of an even larger turtle, which itself is part of a column of increasingly large turtles that continues indefinitely (i.e. "turtles all the way down").

The exact origin of the phrase is uncertain."

The most amusing thing to come out of flat earthery lately is the Pacman Earth.

This theory states that the Earth is flat, and we are able to travel 'around' it in the same way that Pacman moves instantly from the top to the bottom of the screen, or from one side to the other. In the Pacman game, this is achieved by using a hypothetical higher dimension, in this case the third dimension.

As it happens, this has been well studied in the field of mathematics known as topology. Topologists even have a name for this higher dimensional topology, which shows that the flat earthers are close to exposing the truth.

The name of the topology?

It's called a sphere.

Look how gravity is pulling on his hair!

Oh wait.................gravity doesn't actually exist. Sorry. I forgot! :bag:
That's quite right. We know that the Earth is flat, because otherwise everything would fall off due to gravity, duh. Proving in turn that gravity - like Australia - doesn't exist.
I don't know why Round Earthers can't understand something so simple.

Here's something else to make you scratch your noggen. Any person that is or was some sort of surveyor, already knew this dating all the way back to Egypt. Adjustments have to be made when surveying an area larger than one square mile, speciffically for the curvature of the earth. the instrumentation that we use only "shoots" a straight line distance and doesn't account for the curvature of the earth.
What is the distance across the diagonal of a square mile?

Lol, that’s a pretty good point... I can’t tell you how many times I’ve seen a plane dip its nose to land.
