The earth is flat?

Very nice pic! :D

But we all know, that this is not true!

That's quite right. We know that the Earth is flat, because otherwise everything would fall off due to gravity, duh. Proving in turn that gravity - like Australia - doesn't exist.
I don't know why Round Earthers can't understand something so simple.
Waiiiitttt!!! Noooo.....you mean I don’t exist???? Dang....I...I thought my life had meaning....I thought I was a bass player.....this can’t be...somebody tell me it’s not true.

This exact same thing happened to me. My friend isn't stupid by any stretch (well, he's fantastic at making bad decisions, but that's another story altogether), but we got into the subject and I was just joking around making fun. He and his girlfriend got all dead serious. "You know what the call the shape of the earth? An OBLATE SPHEROID. How come it's not shaped like an egg in the pictures supposedly taken from space?" When I countered with the fact that equatorial circumference is only like 80 miles greater than the polar circumference, we moved on to the faked moon landing. "They supposedly build those space craft out of aluminum. no way is that strong enough"

Well, aluminum actually is stronger per unit of mass than steel, so you can build lighter craft. Also, aluminum is flexible and won't crack in the extreme temperature changes..

"No way can you fly to the moon in a soda can!"

So I hand him a full can of soda from his fridge and ask him to crush it in his hand, hoping he'd see the example of how pressure differences might affect the strength of a vessel like that...I kind of thought he was going to throw it at me. I just don't bring it up anymore.

So if a person believes in a flat earth, or moon landings faked, or other such conspiracy theories, they can't be my friend.

You forgot to fix Uranus. Since this is a family show, perhaps that was deliberate.

Which reminds me, during my colonoscopy last year, for which the anaesthetist forgot to put any sedative in the sedative, the doctor announced the grand finale by saying that she was going to flip the camera around 'to look at your anus'. Whereupon I made the obvious joke of correcting her pronunciation of Uranus. She responded by performing a manoeuvre which inspired me to promise to make no more jokes.

Don't let me put you off the procedure though. There's nothing to it.

The drugs are good. I couldn’t remember anything afterwards and I was very friendly.

I was fully conscious and remember everything.

I've had worse procedures with no sedation. It's uncomfortable, but really not all that bad.

Try a cystoctomy under mortar fire. Nothing quite as thrilling as sitting in stirrups with a camera in an uncomfortable place while people are actively trying to kill you.

Bonus that I got to painfully pee in cadence with machine gun fire afterwards.

I'll be honest with you. Machine gun fire pee is a product or way of life that can be sold. I'll take two. But I've only had them stick the camera in the end with teeth, and I was fully conscious to see the multi cam they got on their magic wand thing.

It's not as great as it sounds, and no sedatives in theater of war unless you're a casualty. Had we gotten a direct hit by the mortars, the cam and the 3ft of tube in my bladder would have been ripped out and I would be running to engage contact. I still had full gear on in the stirrups chair lol.

What Is Gravity?

Gravity as a theory is false. Objects simply fall.

In the flat earth community there are several theories as to why this happens. Some attempt to explain this with use of mechanics like electromagnetism, density, or pressure. Others make use of traditional mathematics, such as the infinite plane model, and others a new look at the problem - such as the non-euclidean model.

What is certain is sphere earth gravity is not tenable in any way shape or form
.

In the first sentence they use the word theory correctly in scientific terms. Gravitational theory is false. In the next sentence they use it in the colloquial sense like I have a theory about who stole the cookies. I'm starting to think these folks might not know what they're talking about.
