how do you tell what grade rating of tubes you have? and... on the spectrum what's the difference between a 1 or a 3 or what have ya?

Agreed! My 4x10 neo finally arrived today after being on order for almost 3 months. It sounds really good with my super bassman oh and mine also has the pull tab.
Tim, You do not know what you are missing out on.
I dropped my stock power tubes back in just to see what they sounded like after using mine for so long with out them.
I couldn't pull them out fast enough!
Good tubes turn this nice amp into a GREAT amp.
GT's are the bottom of the barrel tubes.
power tubes in my super bassman 300 are "4 white", alittle perplexing as the groove tubes web site says 8-10 for "Most dynamic range, most clean power/less break-up for power players, Jazz and bass amps.", plus i dont see any mention of the colour system regards "white"?
None of that marketing hype matters.
Groove Tube does not make the tubes. They buy them from suppliers and re brand them.
The GT 6L6 is made by JJ. They are the ones that do not pass muster to be branded JJ.
They are a inferior JJ 6L6GC tube.

Jeez hdracer, you really are tempting me. I have the option to pick up a matched quartet of winged C 6L6s at the moment. I might just do it.....
Groove tubes = total junk coated with BS marketing (just like Monster cables). I would *NEVER* use Groove tubes. Ever! Pure trash.

If GT's really are just re branded JJ rejects i cant believe GT has the balls to charge players the price they do! Anyways.....having a extra quad of power tubes is is the smart thing to do regardless. Plus u can always switch em back if u prefer
My amp sounds great right now so I plan on running the stock tubes until they die. I also love my monster bass cables 
Why does there never seem to be before-and-after audio clips of these marvelous tube rollings? Can somebody point me to some?
Tried out the 100T with the 610 cab today, with two different Precisions.
Wow, they really hit this one out of the park. Great clean tones, perfect breakup and all at the right SPLs for all kinds of gigs. Amazing feature set, they really thought this one out and made a modern pro tube amp with classic Fender tones.
To be honest I'm not a massive fan of the Fender tone stack, and I wasn't able to fool around long enough to get the hang of the way the controls all interact (not precisely, anyway), but I got a very good idea of what it's capable of and I'm really impressed.
I'm still partial to the Ampeg tube sound, but I could easily make this work for me, and I would have a blast playing with the OD possibilities. Perfect small club amp IMO.

My new 100T arrives Thursday and I will be pairing it with an Avatar b212 neo cabinet for now. This will be my first all tube amp. Any best practices for tube amps in general ? Or is there a thread that talks about the basics of tube amps and how to care and use them ?
always leave it in standby for a minute or two after turning on the power. always turn the gain down when unplugging if it's still on. never keep your amp in a cold car in the winter and carry it right into a club and switch it on and play or get off stage and carry your hot tubes out into the freezing cold. never forget you sound better playing tubes no matter what the class d guys say!
