Happily trending in my own peculiar direction.
I had a Noble for a while. Great tone. But it's not the only great tone out there. I kept a Zephyr and a P-15 over it. But they were all stellar, and all moved on to find myself in the here and now. I hope this is a good and safe week/end for all.
we are definitely blessed as bass musicians with all the stellar gear out there right now. I can't believe how far I've come gear wise since my first Peyvey TNT115 amp and Fender Jazz bass lol.

I think there is a ton of untested crap on eBay. If you plan on buying there - make sure you have a tube tester.
I started with a TNT115 and a T-40! That dang T-40 was heavy!
If Josh is making more I may consider. Fender tube tone is my thing! I was on the wait list for a P-15 for what seemed like a year or two. Then I got an email or a call, and had forgotten all about it. Maybe I should have gone ahead and got it then, but I guess I was heading another direction by that point.
I did have a Silver Deluxe for a little while, emulating that Fender tone stack!

I do believe that more are coming (as per site) but only as fast as they can be built. Lately, Parts shipments across the border add delays so there are some added constraints to the process I'd guess.
More should come later in May, hopefully! And by its page layout and everything, it looks like it will be offered like the P-15. That is, through weekly (eventually, hopefully) through random batch drops.
@scubaduba I can get a lot of the heft I get on the Oracle with mids at 300ish EQ, dial at around 2.5, rest of the settings to your "tube tone". It doesn't funk nearly as hard per note as the Oracle, but it sounds so good anyways....
I'm going to miss the Oracle.
Gahhhhhhh...I hadn't seen this thread so it was fun to listen and then scroll through for the results. 1 was my favorite and it wasn't the one I thought it would be...but not in a disappointing way. I won't ruin it in case anyone else wants to play too that hasn't seen the thread. I did get a kick out of all the people complaining in the comments about nit picky stuff. So many people just can't have fun with something and will always find something to gripe about it seems.

Interesting test, i liked No2 the most, no1 the least. Just goes to show how subjective these things are. Haha
First day with my API Tranzformer LX. Its after 5 in the morning eastern time. Finishing up for the day as I received the API Tranzformer LX used from a great TBer here. There are certain equipment that you instantly know your keeping and this is it. Not saying its the best for what it does but for me its very usable. Although its from API you are not getting a 525 compressor or a 553 eq. But you are getting a Character and style of it. The eq's at +- 15 db are 100, 400 and 2k. I wish the eq went to 5 or 6 K as 2k to me was a frequency I have always lowered. But all the frequencies are very smooth. Partly because they are not radical or massive with cuts and boost within the frequency. It all just sounds so sweet and useable. Its more of a eq for your lower and upper mids.
Without question it has the best one knob compressor I have ever heard. It works along side with the input knob and output knobs ( sort of the way it does with my empress Comp). Essentially the more gain the more compression.
It has 6 settings. 6 is more like a limiter as 1 is more like 2:1.
The con of this unit to me is the size and weight. I would use it as a separate unit rather than putting it on a pedalboard, at least for me. It will take up a lot of room plus you will add about 6 pounds.
If you have a home recording set up like I do I feel it is more what it should be used for. Having that API character really makes the recording end of it outstanding. Buying an API 500 series will cost over 1200 dollars but this unit new is 492.00. To me that's a steal for a little bit of API. I will take it out to see how it works in a live situation but it will be primarily for recording.

It's a very interesting pedal and the EQ is very powerful. I'm not sure I'd put a pedal like that in my bass pedalboard. I see it more like a studio console, it would be perfect for quick direct recording. My audio interface is a Phil Jones HA-2 (Bighead Pro) and it's only input is 1/4. I wonder if the HPF and LPF on the QStrip work only on the XLR out. An adaptor or a DI>1/4 jack cable should do the trick anyway.
I see the utility of this pedal also in combination with the SLO. In its effects loop, before or after it.
That's why I love Tube Depot. For a few bucks they will check for matches triodes, gain, and microphonics.
There sure is. But there are also gems you won't find on typical retail sites. There are many reputable eBay sellers.
Those things was indestructible. I think every church in my area had one fo those at one time or another lol.
I started with a TNT 115 and a Peavey Dynabass. That TNT got trashed on pretty heavily in my college dorm but kept on thumping. I think it even rolled down a small flight of stairs and wasn't any worse off for it. Indestructible gear.
My first real rig was a Peavey Mark IV head and 410tx cabinet. I ran it on top of an EV 18 in a roadcase
No biamp. Mixed speaker size. Underpowered and the yellow limiter CONSTANTLY engaging as I "Clarke/Claypooled" my way through Phish covers in my HS band!
