Really? That's really cool, and strange at the same time. Let's say you want the LPF on for your DI signal but you're using the output of the QStrip to drive an amp or power amp and then into a cabinet. That LPF engaged plus the cabinet would probably sound dark and not defined (in my expeiuence).

Seriously, Broughton is kind of like the stomp box version of the HG Thor fretless fingerboard coatings. Super high quality products; but, just nowhere near any kind of practical realm of availability. If that kind of exclusivity confers "special" on the owners, by all means have at it. The rest of us have gigs to play.

The rest of us have gigs to play". So the people who got in on the first run don't have gigs to play? Or you feel that getting in on the first run "confers special" on us? Seriously dude? Gimme a break......

Edit: Look, it's this simple. I personally don't have time to sit at my computer looking on the Broughton website every 5 minutes to get a chance at trying something that I don't even have any reviews for, and no idea how it might stack up to my Demeter. So, for me, this kind of product offering isn't real. Yes, the products will get out there. Sure I will read reviews. But, the bottom line is if I can't purchase one, then they don't exist for me. I hope you don't take offense at that.

I get it, the new ones are hard to get, but they are not impossible. And there are more coming. But because there are no reviews yet (on a release that less than 24 hrs old) and you don't know how it would stack up to your Demeter, that products isn't real?

This isn't a defence of Broughton, its in defence of any preamp that someone wants to discuss

Hmm. Complaining? Nope. But I did say I would like to try one sometime. There is a time for everything.

Preamp, non-drama question:
Anybody try an EBS ValveDrive? I'm going to try a used one one to see if it can get me any closer to that sound in my head (or that sound in Scuba's demo clips and those of others) on a budget. I know EBS makes some consistently great stuff. And I've had enough experience with tubes recently to feel confident tube rolling it, should that prove necessary.

Curious about this one also. Almost snatched one up a few months back. I was debating picking up either the EBS or an AMT Brick A-Bass but ended up with something else instead. Still curious about both of these. I've read the AMT tube pedals respond well to tube rolling.
