Yes...I actually did keep a spare tube in my bag for each type I needed. I also carry spare power cables, spare patch cables, spare batteries, extension cords, flashlights, instrument cords (including a wireless in the event I end up having to mix FOH), chart lights, and a spare DI. That's just in my pedalboard bag. In my bass bag I have more stuff. In my "gig bag" (really a backpack) I carry power filters, power strips, gaff tape, XLR cables, extra mic (and I don't sing), and a few other things.

I also have a complete backup pedal board that I bring (my little baby board) in the event something goes south.

Now you understand why carrying a 28lb pedal board of tube gear was prohibitive. I come prepared.

I'm another prepper for Murphy's law. Being prepared helps avoid show-stopping problems.

Same. I've even been known to prep for other peoples potential issues. I'm a "what if …" kind of person. I should market a Pez type of dispenser for 9v batteries.

Like, an extra pair of drum sticks for the drummer who couldn't even be bothered to bring a stick bag, when that's all he had to bring because he'd use the house kit wherever we played? Or the "can I borrow your keyboard" from the keyboardist who was "in the middle of a move" and his keyboard was "in storage?" (and it came back with a broken screen!) UGH. Been there. lol

I do admit that after the keyboard thing in particular, now I only prep for MY potential problems, not others.

I bring a spare 1/4" cable and a spare pack of strings.

These are wonderful sounding. A full on, proper preamp/DI.
The Sushi Box PA is an awesome tube pedal that also sounds great.

I believe there was someone on the Broughton thread a while back who even implied . . . nea, said right out loud . . . that the Sushibox beat out the Super Stack for him. That would be high praise for that little box. I want to try Sushibox's stuff myself, but the high power requirements are a bit prohibitive.

Sushibox will ship international, but you'll have to get in on the build list. I want to say current orders would be for May builds, but not sure about that.
