Yes, it's a Caribbean blue '87. Apparently in '87 they made lefty 800's in all three colors (black, Lipstick red, Caribbean blue).
hi guys..ibanez owner here..and this is my iceman bass.can i be #0...hehehe..and also i want to ask you guys for your opinion...i'm planning to have my iceman's fingerboard changed to maple with block inlays..what do you think?does it look better or not?thanks..by the way sorry for the crappy photo...hehe

The Elixir strings that come on this bass are pretty dumb. They've apparently got some coating on them to keep the winding tight or something. It feels nice and cuts down on hand noise, but it makes the strings sound REALLY dead. I put on some SIT nickel roundwond "rock brights" and WOW it really opened up the soundscape on this beauty.
Also, Ibanez should start taking more accurate catalog pics of their basses. This thing is way darker and sexier than it appeared.

Anyone interested in an ARTB100 they have one white one, new on Ebay for 'but it now' at 359.99 and a black one, 'buy it now' for 369.99.
