The Ibanez Club (Part 6)

yes its a 1992 TRB1. made in japan and the build quality is excellent. pickups are so so though. korean and japanese have the same body and headstock shape.
Good to know, I always thought the japanese ones had the 'pointier' headstock. The ones I found local, I never even went to see, all of them suffered from 'damp wood' cracks that are fairly common for 90's Ibanez stuff :(

Wonder if I could get a number, all 800's

this is mine - made in japan in 1992. korean models say made in korea on the neck near the heel. the transition happened in 1993 according to the few models i've seen online. I’ve seen both Japanese and Korean examples with the yellow TR lettering. All of the 1994 ones I’ve found, with the white lettering and small TR, are Korean.

Just wanted to give props to the Adam Nitti ANB306 bass real quick. Recently I gave her a fret level and I can't put it down lately. I'm considering selling my Smith bass because this one is just so much more interesting to play.

Adam's 5-string bass is being released in January... the sound on that one is incredible. First time I heard it I was certain it was a 70s jazz bass, but it's like a 70s jass bass on crack. I can't wait.

Anyways. Cheers Ibanez!

I'd like to hop on this train!
Picked up a Sr 500 and most definitely not looking back. Such a fun and perfectly adequate sounding beginner bass,(I'm semi new to playing bass, had a Dean about a year ago) now I'm nips deep in playing and very passionate about playing. Great to see such beautiful basses and wicked knowledge about this great brand
