Here's some pics, just informed by Mr. Smith that this is a CR5G, upgraded with 5 piece body and neck. The finish is worn through is spots, particularly at the popular thumb spot. That person might have been part eagle, because the thumb marks actually gouged the wood with his or her talons. Smells like an astray too, which I smoke myself, but I smoke outside and don't like my things smelling of smoke. Gotta try to clean her up somehow. Sounds great and plays unbelievably fast, doesn't look the best, but she's a player.

Finally got around to make some (not that amazing) pics of my '00 BSR6 with AAAA quilted maple. I'm the first owner and have worn it quite a bit in the 4-5 years I played that instrument. Still have it but it never sees a stage anymore..

I have always been a little bit confused as to models numbering systems for the Ken Smiths.

My favourite body shape is what i believe is called the "vintage" body shape? Which is what the first and third basses on the page have. My question is, does the vintage body shap have its own model, or can any model have that shape?

Came from Tulsa, right? Just called on this bass today, but it was gone. You got a screaming deal. Congrats!

Very sweet, particularly the upgrades. Love the Walnut. I have a '95 CR-5 in Zebrawood/Ebony, but mine doesn't have the 5-piece neck or body. You should be able to get the smell out, though it probably will take a while.

Also, I don't know if yours came with a case. Mine didn't. Took me a while to find something that would fit the lower bout, but I eventually went for a Hiscox. Not cheap, and doesn't fit perfectly, but is quite like a tank.

Again, congrats! And it's better you than me. I don't think my wife would have any patience for a GAS attack over a bass that's almost exactly like the one I already have.
