These first 2 pics are a closer representation of the true colors. The top, back and fretboard are all Pau Ferro. The core is mahogany.

I spoke to Ken just before buying my bass. He said that on average he's made "1 or 2 lefties a year, sometimes none ( per year ), definitely less than 50 in all".

So between me, Jules ( I believe he owns 3 KS's ??? ), and Pjmuck we have about 10% of Ken's lefties :)

I would like to join the club. Here is some photos of my 1985 Ken Smith BT 5 G. It is one of the first 200 basses that were made in New York and it was the first bass Ken did in a Shedua top and back. It has a flamed maple core and matching headstock. This bass has the killer 4 knob KS electronics and looks and sounds like the 5 string version of John Patitucci's 1985 6 sting bass. I believe that this is the bass that was photographed on the cover of Ken's 1986 Catalog (unsure, but the woodgrain says...Match). It is 100% original, in near mint condition, and sounds better than it looks or you can imagine.
