I found out my amp cord reaches to my bed, now I'm friends with my basses' knobs (and became more lazy).
I have about 2/3 of House of the Raising Sun down, I've only been playing a year and 3 months....learning songs aren't my thing.
I'm still going through the Beatles catalog but I still like taking a break and learning something new usually if I hear something on tv or the radio I write it down and try to learn it.
I'm the same....Out of nowhere, a song I hadn't given a thought will be in the background and then I have to have it.
A couple of weeks ago, I was taking a walk, and from inside someone's house I heard Carry On,Wayward Son and Boom!...I had to play it....And now I do.
Classic song. One of my all time favorites. But as much as I love The Band this might be my favorite version. I know Mrs Thick prefers this one.
I've played it with a very similar lineup instrument-wise. Lots of fun. Very moving song
Just checking in with my fellow wolves my elbow has been super tender so I can't play it always happens with the weather change. I'm trying to figure out how I'm going to spend my 50th?
Hey! Hope your elbow heals quickly. On a business trip here for the week and already jonesing for my basses back home. I think a trip to the local GC in Indianapolis here to play some will hold me until I get home on Saturday!
Music stores depress me so I just buy concert tickets or a new CD.

I need to find a nice mom and pop music store Guitar Centers are depressing because they offer very little for us bass players.
Could really use a mono Digitech Jamman Solo (or Jamman for that matter) for a good price.
Would help with my 'solo' needs.
Funney story real quick: My daughter bought me something on my Amazon wishlist (that I utilize for my 'save to buy another day' items) for my birthday recently. That something: the 3-button footswitch for the Jamman Series. Now it sits with nothing to connect too (but I won't tell her).
So, if anyone has one laying around they know they won't use, tag me up - let me know what you might want for it.

Since last checking in here, I've learned Autumn Leaves, Footprints and All Blues by Miles and Advance Romance by Zappa and Badge by Cream. Fun!
