Yes, they are round core SS with a different outer wrap. They are said to be warmer than both Sunbeams and High Beams.Never thought of them! The sunbeams are back on already, are fat beams much different to high beams?

I've always been curious as to the actual difference in body shape between the M5 and M5V... Since I have both in 34" scale, here's my crude attempt to compare the two:

I really didn't want "dry erase marker" on my basses, so I traced about an 1/8" away (outside) from each body.
I was surprised at how similar they actually are (except the obvious lower horn)...as they visually look so much different side by side. Also, the M5 feels much more compact, and has more areas that are contoured/thinner depth.![]()
Anyone have any clips of a TC4/TC5? Can't come across many on YouTube. Would've interested in something to compliment my M5V but want a similar neck profile.
I was inspired today and made a quick video of my TC4. First using the Fat Stacks in single coil then the HB mode. Bass set flat.... And this does not even begin to scratch the surface of what this bass can do tone wise.
The necks a bit thicker then my v4 even though it's a jazz neck. But it's still all good!!
I put a set if Sadowsky flats right on it. And the A string is buzzing 4 frets up from where I am fretting everywhere!
So I never had one string buzz all over! I put the prosteels back on...no buzz....put some labella flex flats on...don't really like em but just to test it....no buzz! So I got a bum A string! Never had that happen!!
So what's up with the inconsistency with Mike's neck dimensions? I've had several, and I've noted some are thicker and some are thinner. If and when I custom order a Lull, I guess I'll have to send them a Lull neck I like and request it exactly match it.
well MV4 and TC4 are thinner then V4 and P4....but you are right cuz my P4 has a slightly thicker neck then my V4
