Nice re Richard. I need to call him to look at my octave and Phasor II. He's a master.
He apparently makes a power cable with a charge pump so you can use the Mutron III with a normal power supply. I would love to buy one but he never answers
What made my day is that Mike Begeil thinks he may have found me a C100 control pedal prototype in his stash.

So now that all I am really missing is the flanger (that one is going to be tough) and the Mutron V - can I really resist the Mutron V? Even if they aren't all that except in a setup really oriented around them...
Alternatively you could always leave them with me?

Sadly I haven't. I'm not sure how suited they are for bass. There's also no gain control on the Mu Tron V is there? Just guessing but you may need a clean boost in front of it to help trigger the filter? I'd be interested to hear how they sound on bass though. There's a lack of bass demos on YouTube.
The boost is no issue. I kinda do that anyway. They really like some power those MuTrons...

i had an original years ago, but IMO, it was a bit limited so I sold it. I later made an exact clone of one, but I preferred modding it with attack/release controls as well as a clean blend and boosted the output. I can still get the original tones out of it, but with the extra mods/controls, IMO it's a lot better.
Sadly I haven't either. The only Musitronics pedal I've owned is the Mu-Tron III...it was sooooo sweet. It truly is the sound that all the others are chasing.

I went over with a maximum price in my brain and BOOM it's at 2.5x my maximum. Not sure that one is in my future!
Just got an email from Richard L. My MuTron III is in the mail headed back home. I haven't had this thing working right in years and thanks to you guys (especially Mosfed) I have found the right person to get me back up and running. I can't wait to hear the sweet sounds of the best envelope ever made again. Thanks dudes for the help.
Just got my MuTron III back from repairs. I'm here to tell you it is cooking. I haven't heard it sound this good since around 1998. @Dave Hill got him some of it! I'll let him chime in with a first timer impression. Thanks Mosfed for the direction and thanks to Richard Lingenberg for resuscitating the best envelope ever.
