The Mutron Club : only quacks allowed...

Yo yo yo kiddies! Check out the new arrival in the neighborhood! Serial number 2! Trutron shows you the size comparison. The one minor bummer is side jacks.

hey guys

check this out.

so - rather annoying demo of the octave divider - BUT BUT BUT - look at that orange pedal next to the octave. The "Synapic Groove 2x" that then says "Dual Overdrive". At 00:57 you can get a really good look. Around 3:00 you get a description. A MUTRON overdrive!?!?! Wot?!?!

Put all three together and this could be the first all Mu Tron synth! :D. Shame no bass demo' s of the overdrive, assume it's an early prototype as very little about it on Mike's Mu Fx page.

Btw - the new Mike Beigel Sound Labs reissue of the Musitronics Octave Divider is THE BOMB. I have had it on the board since wiring up the PT-3 and my lord it is JUST ENORMOUS.

very different from both the BYOC version that I had on my board for a while and the original. Having the Ring Mod on a separate footswitch with a strength setting is just HUGE. Frankly it is the first time I really saw a perfect use for Ring Modulation in a normal band mix. It gives the lush octave this edge that nearly brings the whole thing to the edge of being dirt. That should definitely be the next soundclip I do. The ring mod makes it one of the more unique octave pedals I have heard.

Mike just told me he only has 80 Octave Dividers left so if you want one, get one. He won't be making anymore after this batch is done.

Ok I know the info I need is somewhere in this thread but I'm lazy today. Who do I need to contact about servicing my Mu-Tron? It's been sitting idle waaaayyyy to long. It needs some serious work by someone qualified.
On a side note how often to you guys see a Phasor for sale? That's been on the list forever! Thanks dudemen

Hey bud

So best person is Richard Lingenberg - but he hasnt been too responsive for me on power supplies. You should try though. And let me know if he responds.

Phasors come up. You should check out the Johnk clone of the Phasor II - he has one on his site for sale. Great great Phasor.

I hear Mike Beigel has plans to do a Phasor reissue at some point soon.
