The rubbing thing, luxurious making, scratch marks, and the intriguing nine minutes reference from a seller called Japanese treasurebox is provocative enough.
For me its "it's good to go, all it needs is....."
Wow what an adventure. So I bought that other one only to find after purchasing another seller was selling the SAME bass for literally half the price with the disclosure that the neck is bent and the action cannot be adjusted. He even provided measurement at the first and twelfth frets.
I emailed the guy I bought from with a screen shot of this item description. He swore he didn't know how this other guy could be advertising a bass he himself owns. I suggested he actually bought it from a store once I purchased it and hoped I wouldn't notice the issue or would be too lazy to return it upon receipt, at which he took dramatic umbrage.
Then he said he'd already shipped it the night before. So the next day he writes to say he managed to intercept it before it got to a major airport. He refunded me in full.
I'm done with Japan for now!
I took that money and added a little more and bought a brand new Reverend Wattplower that had been languishing in a store in Ontario for about 1100USD. Plus tax, sadly.
