Sure thing MX21!

Found a pic of your 1212/66.

So I'm very interested in these cabs and want to know what kind of music people are playing with them. I play in a progressive metal band and need to compete with two 4x12 cabs with mesa heads running with a drummer who hits like he hates his drums so volume and clearity at volume are my main issues and was looking to see what size fearful cab or cabs would be enough without being overkill.

Devilman, People are using these cabs for all sorts of music. It's a transparent design that will put out whatever you put in at just about any volume you need with clarity and authority. I suggest doing some reading in a few of the threads here on TB and for lots of info hop over on the [Invalid or Expired Link Removed] and get input from Greenboy himself as well as many of the builders. They would be able to answer just about any questions you might have. If you make the choice for a fEARful, you won't regret it. :bassist:

Sign me up. Here's my 15/6:

[Invalid or Expired Link Removed]

I lovingly refer to it as the Combo of Doom. It's a 15/6 cutkit from Leland Crooks:

[Invalid or Expired Link Removed]

I asked him to integrate a 3-space rack to the top of it to accommodate my Ampeg SVP-PRO tube preamp and Crown Drivecore XLS1500 power amp. I painted the baffle fluorescent green (Krylon rattle can) and it really pops under UV light. The cabinet is covered in Duratex. The drivers, crossover, grill and miscellaneous hardware were also purchased from Leland.

I completed the build in August and have gigged it probably 25 times in venues of all different sizes. What others say is true: my cab GAS is gone. I have never heard a better-sounding cab anywhere ever!

I've got one, a 12/6 cube I constructed about a year ago.

Built to spec, GB Cheap but Good crossover, Duratex and a tilt back leg thing. Cab GAS cured, this little rig works wonders for me.

Thank you Greenboy for sharing such a highly developed design.

Jim

Whoa! Lots of activity here. I'll be updating the numbers when I get home from work... just heading out the door.

Avatar pics and works in progress do count for sure. Naturally the more big pics the better! Particularly of interest is all the various ways these cabs are finished... colour, grill etc.

Not really one for clubs but I will make an exception for my fEARful so might as well have a number.

!5/6 4U Airhead here but I have yet to get a proper photo of the finished article. I really need to get it outside where I have some space but it's freezing here at the moment.

Edit
I've now got a photo over on the fEARful site but being an old git and computer illiterate (as far as this new fangled url stuff goes) have no idea how to get it to appear here. Advice anyone?

I believe this is your baby right?

The best thing to do is to use photobucket, or something similar, as a place to host the picture. Then just copy the image code from there.

Well if WIPs count, I'm building a matched pair of 15/6/1s.

IMAG0143.jpg

This was just a quick test fit without the shelf to get a feel for the size of them. I have a little more cutting to do and I'm still waiting on parts - hopefully I can get the boxes assembled this weekend. Then paint and hardware completed by next weekend.

Also building a matching head frame for my Ampeg SVT 4 Pro that will account for the side cooling vents.

My two 15/6/1 fEARfuls are still being built by Ron Anchak....

But here is a sneak peak of one of the cabs (reverse baffle, grill still needs to be added)

Ron will hopefully have the cabs done and shipped in the next 2 weeks.

What if the specs have changed? Newer crossover designs, discontinued components, etc. Are the older cabs disqualified?

While the final versions have been out for a very long time, I think he means fEARfuls, not nEARfuls. Where's the cutoff point? Including Avater TB153's just because they're 3-way with a 3015LF?

:eyebrow:

I can't believe after all this time people still want to muddy up the waters. Then again, this is TB so maybe it shouldn't surprise me.
