94 more days for me (and my order). I hope you are not right about the possibility of a delay...

BTW, I got Adrian to change it back to my original selection - matt neck and fretboard. Adrian is a pleasure to work with.

Mine ran about a month late a bit over a year ago. They may be busier now. It's OK, you don't want them to cut corners to get it out the door faster. ;)

Yeah I offered to pay in full upfront if Adrian could speed up the lead time, and he politely declined, saying that they're very busy, but also happy to keep the company around 20 people. I can respect that very much, and can also agree that I'd rather receive a bass they focused on and made to the best of their abilities, even if it takes a bit longer. For me, Maruszczyk nails the quality/dollar equations, and also does a great job of keeping your options insanely wide open compared to other affordable custom builders. I added a totally different neck and fingerboard wood, new pickups, two rotary switches and was at least contemplating LEDs, and it was no big deal. And from my limited interactions with him, Adrian seems like a nice guy all-around!

The long wait is putting me off ordering! I know that sounds like a contradiction of terms...

Curious if this was owned by a TBer: Invalid Link Removed

I quite like the spec, apart from the white pickup covers! I suppose they can be easily swapped out.

Around 4 month for Custom shop builds is probably some of the fastest in the biz. However obviously a used bass is available right now. :-)

the only thing i know he turned down in 3 years of working with / for him is : compound radius and Custom shape. Rest ... Only ever answered "yes" and "no problem"

Looks pretty sweet! That looks like a great bass and you should grab it!

I wish Bass Culture and Hauessel had more info about their pickup offerings. I have found that Hauessel is a lousy communicator and doesn't get back to you right away or sometimes not at all. Bass Culture's website doesn't tell us hardly anything about what they make.

howdy , I only do medium or short on custom orders so they usually go straight out to customers and Bo has no time to do a video for the Channel.

They're not so commonly requested (to me at least)

91 days left (without any possible delays), but it feels like I have been waiting for ages! How do you guys cope/deal with such long waits? ;)

I personally hate to wait (wait for my wife to get ready every day for the past 18 years) and it doesn't get any easier. Lol

My first build was in 2014 and the other two in 2016. At that time, it "only" took about 12 - 14 weeks, so the wait wasn't as long as yours.

I would suggest practicing and enjoying the bass(es) you have now. ;)

Does anyone of you have experience with six string Elwood Ls?

I'm wondering how neck-heavy they are considering the bodies are supposedly light-weight. I find Ibanez SR 6ers require too much "clamping" with my right arm in order to stay where they should, and I would want to avoid that with a custom bass if in any was possible. In case of the SRs, I feel the bodies are just way too small and light to keep the balance when you slap a six string neck on them. It's not much but it bothers me, especially when playing seated. So I'd like to know whether I should pay special attention to weight when selecting components like tuners or if the bass wouldn't strictly require them anyway.
