OK .....Spent a VERY LONG part of the day looking for a Fender P/J .... Couldn't find anything that wow'd me ..... then I went to the Maruszczyk configuration tool .... and I made my first custom bass:
She's a beauty but a bit steep at $1,967 (including tax) and I'm not sure how much more shipping would cost to NYC.
That's a crazy beautiful bass but the price is a bit too daunting ....

Well you can knock the tax off for a start....That only applies to EU buyers.....
You do have to eventually pay import duty though.....

Yeah, but to get what you have there from Fender, you'd have to go to the Custom Shop. This is a bargain.

Erm, going by your numbers the 1430€ would be 1698$, correct me if I'm wrong but I'm pretty damn sure that "including 19% tax" means that that's already included in the price, so "worst case" you'd spend 1698$ on it, but since you can deduct the tax (and pay whatever import or customs fees there are) the price you'd be paying to public peace is 1430€ - 228€, so 1202€ or 1426$. Check when you have something in your cart on the website, the gross price is the same as the total price on there as well.
We're used to displaying the full price, including all taxes, in Europe for the most part.

Man, you all are making me want to take down my listing in the classifieds. My Jake is loaded with Delano and Haussel pickups. Seeing these pics and realizing how special these things are is making me think hard about keeping mine and learning to cope with the 19mm spacing.

Dont forget that there is a U.S. Dealer, you could probably get a better Deal through that.

I'm wondering if the US distributor facilitates custom orders (Design it yourself basses) or only stock inventory?
The string spacing on my Frog throws me off for the first 20 minutes I play her until I get used to it.
He does custom orders. I don't like that he does it mostly through Facebook and email, but it is what it is. I know mine is close to finished, but not sure if it will be another week or another month.
There sure are a lot of Dave's in this thread ... and I'm a Dave too actually.

I purchased my from from Bass Freaks on Reverb. Although they are in Belgium, Pierre was really good at talking me through the Customs process. The bass was shipped on Monday and arrived on Saturday! It was packed well.
