My dog loves my tone!!!!

Jorg actually got in touch with me and said my 1212L would probably have the new drivers in it and told me how to tell without taking them out.

What a guy.:bassist:

And yes, the next two days away will feel very long for me.

I bought a new 1212L a couple of months ago direct from Jorg with the new Celestion neos and replaced my previous 1212L with them too...warmer/fuller in sound and Jorg claims they are more robust in power handling, but did not ask for numerics on how much more

I cant wait for my first gig with my 1212L. Itching to try it out at volume.

I have a bigis gig comng up later this month. Its a holiday camp and we did it a month or so ago wehn i had my UL212. The UL212 struggled to get a decent, solid tone out in to this room. Im a bit apprehensive about the fact that ill be using an even smaller cab but somehow i think ill be heard a bit better this time.

I 'm pretty sure that you'll be pleasantly suprised...I've found the same thing with the UL212...sounds great alone but gets lost in the mix...I'll bet you'll hear yourself with this Schroeder 212...Peace...DAcat

What's happenin' DAcat! I'm using an Eden wt550. I tried it out at The LowEnd Bass Shop in Murfreesboro TN.

Well Diglo-I'm you'll be able to make a fine "people smoothie" with your WT 550 (I assume with a 4 ohm cab), as these cabs are really efficient...however, if you really want to whip things up, an amp with about 1000 watts :p will really get these cabs a bloomin (I just got a Crown XTi 4000 to power my Schroeder 410R, 212L and EarCandy 212 cabs:smug:) :D...Peace...DAcat

This summer I may be joining your club. But, I have a question. Everyone (who likes Schroeder) loves their 1212. My question is - if I paired up the Mini 12+ and the Mini 12 would I achieve the same sound?

The reason for this is that I'm a poor sod who can't afford anything. :(

Nope- part of the magic that is the 1212 sound is the way it's baffled. I'm pretty sure that the two Minis together would be a good sound, but it won't be like a 1212.

Yeah, im not too worried as I know the 1212L will push through the mix better. As its a high wooden stage, last time i could hear myself very well on stage but once off i more or less disappeared from the mix.
its just strange having a rig that most people wouldn't even notice on stage. even though i had one for the past 2 1/2 years.
Almost every bit of live music i see on TV has the bass player with a big Ampeg cab or that sort of thing. to me that looks the business but i know my 1212L can be just as good.
We should really be using a bigger PA for this gig but as we cant afford to hire one in and we got by last time this is how it will have to be. Im pretty sure we do feed the house PA from our desk but these are really only to come out of the small speakers placed further down the room.

Hey Chris,

Aside from our PM conversation, there are NEW mini 12s out that apparently sound better than the older ones. Check out Fretless_guys post. He was a little concerned and apprehensive, but when they arrived he really dug them. Personally, I've never heard them myself, but word is that they are better.

Also, if at all possible, it is best to try gear out before you buy it to be sure its what you want.
