I'm fairly certain all Jorgs cabs ship with the newer tweeter (round) unless you specify otherwise.

If you have a chance to a/b your 1210r and 1212L I'd like to know the results.:)

It'll be MUCH louder than the UL212... It won't have the same low end as the UL212, but a more usable and musical low end that will make the whole band sound better.

I use Epifani UL cabs for "solo" scenarios when I want killer stand alone tone, Acoustic 106 cabs (1970 2x15 cab)for situations when I need that low end "boom", but the Schroeder 1212L is my #1 choice when I need a cab that sits in the mix perfectly without taking over or being washed out. I must admit that I can't stand using it in "solo" situations, though... It's tone actually makes me a little mad:p... but on the stage with a band it's magical:D

I do find the UL212 a bit woolly ro thick in the low end, especially compared to my 1210. I used to hate the mid bump of my 1210R but after going through a few other cabs i realize thats what makes the 1210R so special.
I agree about using it in solo situations though. I tend to play some very small stages and as im right in front of it it does annoy me as well. In fact it sometimes fatigues me but i know by going out front that its a totally different sound and does sit in the mix nicely.
Ive never been one to like 10"s and thats why i have gone for the 1212L this time. the UL212 has put me off 212 slightly but i think its just that i prefer the 1210R.

For anyone interested here are two live clips recorded with a mic on stage at a small pub gig i did a while ago. Using my LMII (just collected it form the shop) and 1210R, playing a HW1 Jazz.

As im ordering through a dealer im not sure what will be in the cab or how old it is but as i cant compare it to another one im sure ill not need to worry.

I wont get to do a direct compassion with both cabs as i keep each rig with different drummers but as i use a LMII with one and a SA450 with the other and both more or less flat EQ im sure ill be able to here any differences.
Im recording a couple of gigs this weeked using my LMII and 1210R and on the 14th ill get to use my 1212L with my other band so hopfully ill be able to post some comparrisons. Both bands do more or less the same songs.

Recieved my new 1212L and mini 12+L last week.I had older versions of each and after talking to Jorg decided to sell the old and bring in the new-both with Rhino covering.(Personally Im glad that Jorg continues to work to improve his product as opposed to resting on his sucesses.That dude never stops working)

First off,I love the new Mini 12 so far.The sound is much clearer and even vs the older one.I loved the older one for small wedding gigs,duo and trio gigs,and rehursals,but this one is definatly a step up.A few pounds lighter and different demension box,I actually laughed as I took it out of the shipping box.But plugged my Markbass LMII and it is so nice.It houses the new Celestion neo and has a way more even,clear tone than the older drivers.Seems to be just as loud as the older one as well.I dont like a ton of low end on stage so this cab should be perfect for my smaller gigs.Im thinking of adding another if I can find a head that I like that will run 2ohms.

I LOVED my 1212L that I sold and really debated that move.The new one off the bat is clearer and deeper sounding to me.Not more low end,but the overall sound seem deeper-again it has the new Celestions.It seems just as punchy as the older one but is more open sounding.I havent had a chance to gig with it yet which is the real test,but again Im really glad I made this move so far.I have three gigs this weekend in very different situations so it will be a good test for this cab.

Jorg tells me that as they break in they sound very close to the new regular cabs.Ill find out soon.Ill post after this weekend.But for now-Great job Jorg and thank you.

I love the LMII also and it paired with my 1210R is about as much as I ever need.

There have been several Neo-Pak's show up in the classifieds here with the 2ohm upgrade.

I'm not really sure how much it cost or if there is even a cost for it outside of shipping to Genz. You could PM "hasbeen" and ask him how much the upgrade would be.

Can i ask if you can tell you have the Celestions without opening up the box. Im not doubting Jorg's word but as mine is coming from a dealer in the UK and i guess they have had it a while i doubt it will have the new drivers in it (and not bothered either way) but it would be nice to know and i dont really want to take it apart just for this.

mine is due tomorrow (friday) but as im away gigging i wont get to see it until sunday. Its going to be a long weekend:bawl:
