I've been thinking I might a little more speaker square footage for a new rock band I've joined and was thinking along the lines of getting a 1212L to tuck under the 1210R.:hmm:

I have been thinking of getting one of the new Ashdown Little giant heads, 500watts in to 4ohms x2. If i do im going to try and use my 1212L an s1210R at a gig. both being 4 ohms i cant use them together at the moment.
Cant really seem ever needing that much power but but its too much to resist, at least once.:ninja:

Yeah, my two current Schroe's are 4 ohm so when I run them together with my AI Clarus Series III (which can handle 2 ohms) I get 500 watts of super clean power from a head the size and weight of cigar box.:hyper:

The thing I've always found odd, was the 1210 with the 12 firing forward. To me, I think I'd want the 10 firing forward...

I've really considered at some point getting a 1212 and 1210 or two 1210's to 'replace' my 3101212. I'm sick of lugging that beast around, and two smaller lighter cabs would make life a lot easier. I really don't want to get rid of it either, just want some more options.

I should probably just ask Jorg directly, but I was curious if anyones seen a 1210 with the 10 firing forward. I know he's done some 'custom' stuff for people in the past. Maybe that was something that came up. Or some reason the 10 is side fired specifically.

Eh, just brainstorming, I think it'd be awhile before I get some cash rolling in again to move on it anyways. I only just recently started with a new band and may be gigging again soon. Man it's been too long.

Hey Dave Bass-well for any gig where you think you might possibly need a greater show of force...use the LMII for one cab and the SA 450 for the other and hook your bass up to both amps...Don't resist...:D...at least once...Peace...DAcat

Only problem is i dont normally have both amps as i keep one with each of my drummers as i dont drive so thats the reason for having two rigs
But yes, its a great idea and one day i will do it.

I just got my new Crown XTi 4000 power amp that I use with my BB-MAX-T-Tube Preamp to power in stereo my Schroeder 410R with 1600 Watts in channel 1, and in channel 2 my Schroeder 212L and EarCandy BassBomb 212 with 1000 watts each...all I can say is massive, fat, thick, Dark, gooey, slabs of HZ of the best low kind :p...expensive but worth it...Peace...DAcat...

How far away do you have to stand before the health and safety guys let you turn it on :D

Been using a 21012R for a month now and absolutely love this cab. Took a few shows to get over the "big stack" look on stage - but the sound of this thing entirely won me over. As others have said the onstage sound is freakish in how much presence there is. Sound guy says the FOH is better too. And Jorg is the best. American made by a family company with fantastic customer service. Can't beat it.

Ive just got back from my first gig with my 1212L (with celestions in it) and i must say im impressed.
Considering its a 2x12, the same as my UL212 there is just no comparison. The 1212L really cut through. It had loads of growl that the UL212 could never get.
Ive almost got a headache from the high volume but the volume was needed at this gig. It inspired me to play lines that i havent bothered with before due to lack of definition.

My only issue was a noise comng from the cab when i played down the neck. Im hoping its a wire touching the cone. It did this when i firsr got it and i thought i had sorted it but it looks like ill have to open it up again at the next gig.

Even so, im very happy with this cab and have no regrets. I might even change my 1210R for another 1212L. Its early days though and i know the cab will take a few gigs before the speakers settle down but im now a lot more confident in being heard.

Mine made noise and I was able to trace down to air being pushed out of the 1/4" input, I use the speakon cable so the 1/4" input is essentially a hole.
I squished an ear plug and pushed it in there. Once it swelled back up, no more noise.

What kind of difference in tone do you notice b/n the 1212L and 1210R?

Is the 1212L deeper sounding by a significant amount?

i must admit

i have owned my schroeder 410R for a couple years..
i bought it based on reviews here from the site, never got a chance to play... and i think it was a good buy.

i've never been super happy with the way it sounds on its own during solo practice, but man do i tell ya.. everytime i get this bad boy on a big stage with the rest of my band, it ****in kicks a$$. i actually here it better, and the sound just comes alive. it just cuts so well, and is super fat, articulate, punchy and clear.

i dont think that i would have bought this cab if i just played it in a store, but i'm very happy with my purchase/

also, recently Jorge sent me the new selenium tweeter and some parts to upgrade the cab, because i guess mine was a couple years old. the selenium tweeter sounds much better. thats all i can say. thanks Jorge

love my schroe
