Alright now this has got to stop! Now there's a 1215!Jorge I can't be responsible for my actions if this continues!Just when I think my cabs are the greatest this comes along.This is like being on crack!Except louder and more fun!!!!!

After playing through the 1212 (one front-fired 12 and one folded 12), I asked Jorg if it would be possible to have a 1215, the 15 folded to bring out more low lows.

Here's it is, the 1215L in my favorite rhino red color. This cab does it all. It is loud, large, and light. Cabinet size is the same as the 412L but the weight would be around 52 lbs. As far as sound, based on my initial demo at Jorg’s, it’s got a lot of punch, the highs are smooth, and the lows are thundering.

This cab’s initial test would be on the weekend as I play a large gig at a warehouse venue on Saturday, then an auditorium venue and large church venue on Sunday. I can’t wait!!!

More to come next week….also stay tuned for Jorg’s new cabinet designs. Lots of exciting and interesting stuff going on!

WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ok, when is the next Schroeder GTG!!!!!!????????? This cab looks KILLER!!!!

My 610L arrived today, and WOW! I haven't used it with the band yet, but I spent an hour or so with it, and it sounds amazing. I was especially pleased by the smooth high mids and highs, no harshness at all. Very, very punchy, not to mention loud!

Dealing with Jorg is just perfect. I see a 1212L somewhere in my future...;)

I went to a Blues Jam Tuesday night and the Bass rig was a Mesa Boogie mosfet 600 or something through a Schroeder two 15, both front facing, just like the "good old days". With two NEO speakers the thing was LIGHT !!! and the sound......AMAZING !!!! Makes me wanna go Old School again .

I just had my first festival experience with my Schroeder amp (I'm predominantly a theatre musician) yesterday afternoon. It was a last minute fill-in gig for a funk/pop band; they had every song charted out, so it was a simple walk on and play type gig. We get set up, and the sound guy mics my 12R (I thought it strange he didn't run a DI from the amp head, but oh well).

Backstage during one of the singer's solo guitar things, the band was talking about sound. The guys are saying the usual "I can't hear myself in this band shell," to which I say "I can hear myself alright." The trumpet player looks over and says "Man, I don't know what's in that little red box of yours (the Schro is rhino red), but that thing hits me like a sledgehammer."

Just a thought but can i glue the dome back on? It just needs sealing really, its not falling off or anything.

Forgot to add that the gig was full of disaster last night. I even forgot to plug one of our PA speakers back in for the first two songs.
we went down well though and the 1212L did indeed perform better than my UL212. At least, i think it did as we didnt even get a sound check as we were late arriving.
The 1212L sounds very tight and i found myself playing a lot better than i normally would.

Dave, you might could do that...just a tad of rubber cement, perhaps? If you have any shops around that do recones, maybe they could replace the dust cap for you on the cheap. I'm not positive what the adhesive is that they use for this, but I can find out tomorrow...

Thanks for the offer but its all in Hand. Im getting a new driver sent out to me in the next day or so.
Did we really expect anything else from Jorg?

You can definitely repair a loose dome and what I've always used for cone repair is clear fingernail polish, although I'm sure there are many other good options.

One of the great things about fingernail polish is that it dries very stiff, hence no damping effect.

You may want to see if you can get any input from Bill Fitzmaurice of Jorg himself, but I have done many repairs this way in the past, the worst being a couple 12's that had been kicked in and they worked flawlessly afterwards.

I actually got the fingernail polish repair idea from a speaker repair guy who knew that I didn't have much money and he told me how to do it without having to pay him!

I have a new driver coming to me but i might try and repair the old one first. Just in case i dont get time to change thme over before the next gig.

I used to have a sealed fender 410 cabinet, and did not like the bass response from it. Now i have a rear-ported 210 and I love the pillowy low end the emanates from it.

I'm just wondering if the sealed Schroeder cabs have that pillowy full low end like my ported cab, or if it's just middy punch, like the other sealed cabs i've heard before....

If you want 'pillow' I would submit that schroeder probably isnt the best first choice. Hate to say that, but its true. The shroes that I've owned cut beautifully and are meant to be played live. Pillow just gets lost in the mix. Now if you're playing a low volume trio thats a different story.
