Same here. My reasons for getting my 1210R and 1212L have been based on needing something small as car space is very tight. When my drummer got a bigger car last year it meant i could get a bigger cab, hence the UL212 but after using my 1210R for so long i just find anything else doesn't cut it on stage.
Normally with the 1210R i have the tweeter on about half but last night with the 1212L it was all the way up and sounded a bit nicer and a bit more even than my 1210R.

playing with an electronic kit meant there was not a lot of drummer type noise on stage and i found my 1212L to be a bit over powering but when i went for a walk around the room during sound check i was really pleased with how the low end was sitting. Best sound Ive had for ages and this room was an acoustic nightmare.
Big stage next week and I'm confident this time ill be heard a lot better.

I just acquired a 410R from a fellow TBer and I was very happy with the choice. It is made for the gig. It has a projection I couldn't get with my Ampeg gear. Beauty.
So here is my picture of my cab. I push it with a Shuttle 6.0 and my beast like Mesa Boogie 400+. It gets loud real loud.
Love it. Great Cab Jorg. I will be adding a 1210L or 1212L to the stable in the near future.

Number please?

yea, i love the 410r, i usually run the tweeter at half and adjust treble via my bass, so i can avoid click if possible.

i really love running wireless and taking a walk outfront of the stage and hearing everything from far away, a totally different perspective.


what do u guys mean when u talk about mid bump?

This describes my experience with Schroeder's perfectly. Solo cabs they ain't. But in the band mix, nothing beats them. And Jorg's customer service is the gold standard IMHO.:D

I just received a 1212L as part of a trade deal and woah! This little thing is punishing! :eek:I spent about an hour A/B ing it with my Bergantino HT210 and EX112. I must say I am impressed with the overall balls quotient of the Schroeder, very different qualities tonal qualities between the 2 that I'm still sorting out. I expected to flip it but now I'm not so sure...

My main concern is it's ability to cover my bottom end to my liking without PA support which seems to be more common these days. The Bergie 210 is nice and fat down there. I would describe my ear as leaning toward the old school warm and round sound. I'm running a Mesa Walkabout head in 3+4 pc. bands at reasonable volume levels.

After reading some of your posts I can see this needs to be demo'd live. Next week I'm doing a live radio show (Micheal Feldman's Whaddaya Know") and I might have to give it a shot then. Y'all can rate my tone coast to coast!:bassist:

A question to 1212L owners.
My 1212L is now in storage until this sat's gig. As i said above i still have this buzzing noise. pretty sure i know what it is and it will mean i have to get the back off again.
Can someone tell me what type of heads the screws have so i can take the right screwdriver along.

Forgot to add in my post earlier but i was very impressed with the punch of this cab. I always thought my 1210R was punchy but the 1212L seems to have a bit more plus a bit more growl. Not exactly what i was looking for but its nice to have it and i can dial it out. It certainly helped me on the faster runs. I could hear every note (even the ones i fluffed ;-).
Overall, better in every way than my 1210R other than to me, it looks smaller (i know its not).

They should just be standard Philllips head, unless Jorg modified the design. If you have an electric screwdriver, that helps a lot, as the back panel has about 8-10 screws in it.

Ive already had the back off once and yes, it really wore my wrist out. especially as i also took off the grill, all with a smallish screwdriver.
when i first got it i was getting a buzzing on the lower notes. after checking all the screws etc it turned out to be a small balck wire going between the to drivers. it was touching one of the cones.
I did check it after i had moved it and it was ok. It was ok at the start of the gig but was back by the end of the first set. I must admit i didn't secure it so im hoping its just fallen back in to place.
It certainly didnt sound like a driver going as i was playing quite loud and the sound wasnt breaking up.

You might want to check this too.
Mine made noise and I was able to trace down to air being pushed out of the 1/4" input, I use the speakon cable so the 1/4" input is essentially a hole.
I squished an ear plug and pushed it in there. Once it swelled back up, no more noise.

Ill certainly have a look at that but im pretty sure its not that as the cab was fine for the first few numbers so i think its something that had moved or come loose.

I've got the original rectangle horn, and Jorg sent me the second gen square horn, I've never tried it out and only recently just started using the cab full time again. But I think I need to try it one of these days. I see in the new cabs theres even a different tweet.

The square Selenium horn makes a big difference to me in sound. I much prefer it to the original rectangular P-Audio unit. Smoother, with more bite, if that makes any sense at all. I had to enlarge the hole just slightly to get the horn to sit flat, but it's nothing major, just the top and bottom, maybe took off 1/4"...easy with a Microplane half-round. Worth the 1/2 hour. :)

Check out my new Red Monster 1215L, the latest and greatest cabinet from Jorg Schroeder! I came over to Jorg's a couple of weeks ago and he wanted me to test drive some of the new prototypes he was making. After playing through the 1212 (one front-fired 12 and one folded 12), I asked Jorg if it would be possible to have a 1215, the 15 folded to bring out more low lows.

Here's it is, the 1215L in my favorite rhino red color. This cab does it all. It is loud, large, and light. Cabinet size is the same as the 412L but the weight would be around 52 lbs. As far as sound, based on my initial demo at Jorg’s, it’s got a lot of punch, the highs are smooth, and the lows are thundering.

This cab’s initial test would be on the weekend as I play a large gig at a warehouse venue on Saturday, then an auditorium venue and large church venue on Sunday. I can’t wait!!!

More to come next week….also stay tuned for Jorg’s new cabinet designs. Lots of exciting and interesting stuff going on!
