Here's mine. Please ignore the tool to the right of the cabinet... he's insignificant. Actually, it's the only picture I could find with my cabinet in it. 1212 btw, and it's absolutely the last cabinet I will ever buy. Until I get a second one anyway ;)

bring the w/a head, and the 410-it ain't a lot bigger, and you can "not turn it up."
the mesa head pairs well with the 410-trust me

btw: Jorg just bought a w/a for his own use

I think the Walkabout pairs nicely with my new 1212L as well, it softens the blow a bit!

I got this cabinet as part of a trade deal and it took me completely by surprise. I a/b'd with my Bergantino stack (HT210 + EX 112) at an outdoor show last week. I was amazed. Long story short, the Berg's are outta here!

Chef, we need to start the 'Walkabout/ Schroeder' splinter club.:cool:

Chef and Emblymouse...I've always been a huge fan of the Mesa Walkabout... whenever I was in a music store-it would always finally be my favorite amp :D to plug into and play around on when trying out basses-I just never thought it was big enough for bigger shows, so I've never owned one( I always thought they were a little pricey too)...but tell me more...just exactly what do they sound like through your different Schroeder (and other cabs?)...I'm verrrrry interested :hiding: you guys may be onto something :smug:...Peace...DAcat :cool:

I'm also interested in how a M/B would sound through Jorg's 410 cabinets. Not that my 800RB wouldn't cut it, but I'm just looking for the best fit.

Any Schroeder dudes/chicks/things using Gallien-Krueger heads? I'm real happy with my 410L as blasted via a Thunderfunk 420, just looking for a somewhat similar vibe for a backup head. Not that TF needs a backup, but hey, just in case. :D

Also, has anyone done a comparison between Jorg's 410 and the new 610? I'll read through the thread now just in case that has already been answered. I'm thinking mainly about differences in tone, I'm sure the 610 is a bit louder.

Schoeder have that "low mid bump."
Some of the Schro cabs have this more than others.

Mesa and schroeder work together well to my ear for the same reason that double bass works well with them...Mesa and double bass have a big low end; so, it kinda flattens the schroeder out.

Keep in mind, my experience in thei area is 410, 1212; 410L 1212L; Walkabout, MPulse 600, and 400/+.
People hear all this pretty differently; try before you buy.

Lastly, the new Gen3 Schroeder cabs with celestion power are supposed to be warmer and flatter.
I don't know from personal experience on that, yet.

I've fallen in love with my 1212L and I'm waiting to try a new setup: Jorg is sending me an 8 Ohm 15+L to go under the 4 Ohm 1212L and I'll try it with an Eden WT550. I opted for the 8 Ohm 15 because 1)I'm guessing my amp will be "happier" at 2.7 Ohms than 2 and 2) I think running 1/3rd the power through the 15 will fill out things nicely without the 15 dominating the tone of the 12s I love so much. I did consider another 1212, but I couldn't resist trying Jorg's 15, and he says it'll weigh only around 35 lbs, making it a good candidate for a very portable stand-alone cab as well. I should have it all in place next week....

I can say this: an eden wt800b pushing two 1212L's is verrrrrrrry niiiiiice!

:D:D:D I think so, too. The last step will be a 12+L. The 3 cabs together will cover anything and everything an amateur hack like me will do (and then some). I'll be able to run all 3 at 2 Ohms for outdoor stuff, just the 12+ light when living room jamming with my guitar buddies, and the 1212/15 setup for most of my garbage band gigs. Then I can sell my Epi UL2 112 and it'll be all Schro fo me!
