I just hooked up my new Eden WT550B (thanks Steve) to my 410L, using my passive Fender Jazz. I really can not get over how freakin' loud this combination is! I had it turned up to about 1:00 on the gain (with compressor) and 12:00 on the master. Any more and I would have had hearing damage. I just ordered a 3-foot speakon-to-speakon speaker cable because I'm afraid the 1/4 inch connector on the cable I usually use might vibrate loose!
I can't wait to use this rig for my next bar gig, sadly not 'til September. But I do have a couple of dates coming up at street fairs and the beach, so I'll be able to let 'er rip outdoors. The Schroeder may not be as smooth as some cabs, but when you need loads of volume in a small package, there ain't nuthin' like it.

Hi all you Schroederians!

After getting rid of my 18" cabinet, I'm looking pretty hard at the Schroeder cabinets. I had originally taken them out of the running because of the goofy speaker setup, but that doesn't bother me any more. What would be a good Schroeder for punk-ish music? Fast, picked stuff. I was considering the 21012, but I'm worried that the single 12 might not put out enough bottom. There isn't a single dealer around, so I can't really go and try one :(. My amp is an 800RB if that makes any difference.

edit: Also, is there any difference (aside from weight and watts) between the R and L series?

Newer Schroeder owners who are also familar with the older models;
if you have experience with the older Eminence loaded 410L,
and the newer Celestion loaded 410L...

any notable diff in tone?

He uses lighter and thinner wood on the L. Not much, but it's a little thinner.

The 21012 should be fine for you- it puts out in a big way! Also, if you're used to a single 18, be aware that the sound coming out of these cabs is FAST! Quick like lightning, none of the speaker flap you may be accustomed to, and they hit hard. I usually run an LMII into my 410L, that's one of my favorite combinations of all time. My F1 into my 410L is the other.

Oh I'm sure I'll love the quickness. Traded the 18 for a 15 last night and already it's night and day. "No more farting bass" were the words my drummer used. Ok, I'm gonna email Jorg for a quote on a 21012 with black rhino and a cane weave grill :smug:

I replaced my old setup which included a Cerwin Vega 18 with a 21012R. I'm not missing any lows. I play rock, blues and I'm very happy with my Schroeder.

The new celestions in my two 1212Ls are noticably warmer. I bought a 1212L in Nov. and managed to blow both the Eminences they had at the same time. Jorg, being the man of customer service, sent me out two new celestions to replace them (no questions ask I might add) and the cab was noticelably warmer after replacement. He claims they are more robust as well. I liked it so much I bought another 1212L a couple of months ago...right now I think I have all the amplification I will ever need...

Yeah I don't think that I'll miss them, they weren't so much "lows" as they were "farts."

Heard back from Jorg and he recommended the 410L over the 21012L, which sounds just fine to me. I'm just excited that I found something in a compact package with bunches of punch. Jorg also told me about a dealer of his in Minnesota which is just opening up, so I'll finally have a local playground away from home :D
