Jorg really listens to his customers and modifies his product line accordingly, using improved drivers and designs. Kudos! His new 1215L looks very promising. The 1212L has a lot of definition and oomph for a compact 212 cab but seems to be a little shy in the booty while the 1515L is advertised as having a vintage sound in a compact package. (Who would have thought you could make a 215 that small sound good?) The 1215L seems like it would split the difference nicely, fatter than the 1212L but more articulate than the 1515L. The sound and efficiency from these small light enclosures is incredible. The right choice is personal preference depending on the sound you're after, but I was wondering if anyone out there in Schroederland could comment on whether this assessment is accurate for the 1215L? If my current system doesn't meet my needs I may be looking this direction.

Well, I've gone and ordered 1215L based on this logic. My 1212L is off to CT (thanks Washishimi). Hopefully I can report in about 3 weeks.

Question on the new 1215L.
On the Schroeder site it shows a 'compact' 1215L that is horizontal... looks like a slightly bigger 1212L. Is there in fact a model like this or is the 1215L vertically stacked with the angled driver on the bottom rather then the side ??

I think the compact model is indeed based on the 1212 design, based on measurements quoted on the site. The larger 1215 has a down-firing 15, IIRC...

The 1215L is exactly the same size as the 1212L. The vertically stacked one is more of like a custom job. Here's mine with the front fired 12 and folded 15.

Quick question to anyone passing by:

Is there a simple way to remove the back panel on a Schroeder cab? I need to get in there but don't want to force the rear panel off in case I rip some crossover/input wires. It's jammed in there pretty good.

Spanks and stuff.

EDIT: flathead screwdriver, a little patience, and some vague brute strength. :smug:

I think there might be a mistake somewhere here. That box pictured looks like a 1515 box. If you look at the 12" driver its centred to the right. My 1212R cab has both drivers in the middle with no 'real estate' left over.

Just my observation. I could be wrong. :)

That's my personal cab and Jorg made it for me. He also has one that is in black rhino. The 12 looks big like a 15 in the picture but when you see it in person it is a 12. The box is as big as the one for the 412.

I realize I have been remiss in that I never posted a pic. I just sent my lil' cab off to it's new home and I am currently Schroederless. Jorge requested a photo for his site and I had Mimi snap this the other day.
I am now officially a Schroeder Endorserdude. I hope that doesn't affect my credibility around here.:D
