Just picked up this Walnut 4003SW ... and in my opinion so far ..... The 4003 and the 4003SW are two completely different basses. I was really taken back by how radically different they sound

Well spotted, but no. It's a 2003 Standard 5 and it's amazing. There's also a Bacchus 24 and a Woodline P Classic in there. I think Bacchus make some of the very finest basses out there. I would say do it. Do it now!

There's my most recent 1st world problem ..... Whether to buy a Marusczcyk Jazzus 4 or a Bacchus Woodline DX4

The body color on that fretless is beautiful. Is that natural or some kind of stain?

Thanks JIO. Something about Gibsons for some types of music. Hate how they balance and all but once used to it (like throughout a gig) nothing sounds or plays like them.
