The Rick on the right is a model 4000 - April 1968. That is the bass I use the most. Unfortunately there isn't much about it that's original. It had an active P-style pup in it when I bought it, which meant he had put extra routing in the body and extra holes in the pickguard. I had a guard made for it and bought a Rick re-issue Horseshoe pup for it. The tailpiece is from circa 1975 - I still have the original tailpiece, but the bridge cracked in two. Oh and it started life as a fireglo.
The 4003 was made in Sept 1987. As you can see in the group pic I had a full length guard made for it. I like the look of a full length.
