Got a question for you,
in Fender's promo pics, the polar white looks more like a pearl white, with a metallic undercoat similar to CAR.
Is it like this in person? or is it more like an enamel white?
Mine has no metallic appearance to it. It's more enamel like to me.

Hello all. I haven't been a very active member on here, but I have been gigging fairly regularly for the last 8 years.

Been thinking of a Squire CV P bass. Good to know it's gig worthy.
Definitely. It's done nearly 40 gigs now and never missed a beat (pun intended).
If one goes the Squire route, what is the hierarchy for upgrading (if there is one)?
Pups?
Electronics?
Tuners?
Bridge?
Is that the order? I have played a few squire jazz in stores and they "feel" pretty darn good... apart from the above, i might consider stripping the neck and doing a tru oil finish...

Well, I've owned at last count 6 Squiers, and only upgraded the pups in 2 of them, but not because there was anything wrong with the sound, but because I wanted a particular sound. With my Strat I fitted a SD Hotrail at the bridge, and my first P Bass got a SD Quarter Pounder, but I have found I have not needed to upgrade anything else.
I'd do pups first and foremost and a preamp if you want the active eq. Outside of that maybe a new nut made of brass, graphite, or corian with professionally done slots. You could do the bridge but I don't know how much it would be noticeable.
These are of course just my 2 cents...
