I still need to take a proper family photo but I thought I'd share the newest member.
Added a couple more gals to the collection. There’s some crazy local deals here and I couldn’t resist.

Do you know the baking soda/super-glue repair for nuts? It's a way you can fix that nut (E side missing chunk) w/o replacing it.
My newest, athough I have it for a week and it's a 2009 indonesian model (according to the serial number).
It's in perfect condition for a 10 years old bass. It seems to not have been played that often. Almost no scratches in the body, front or back. Even the strings are almost new. It plays wonderfully and sounds amazing.

3-4 inch padded strap and you good to go! Love the ATKs!

I was lacking a single Humbucker stingray-ish type of bass in my colection and I've always had a thing for these ATK's. I had a Tagima Jazz Bass with a lot of ugrades for sale and the oportunity presented to trade for this one, so I grabbed it and I don't regret. The Tagima was a great bass but I had bought an American Original 60's this summer so I wasn't using it and with this trade I got to add a great bass to my colection and I'm super pleased with it.
I traded the other bass but I kept the padded strap to use with this one. So I think I got that covered.
That’s a sweet BTB. I have a BTB670 that I couldn’t be happier with. I use it for pretty much everything.

I think that's right - but with superglue involved it might be worth a try with plastic. What's the best way to test if a nut is bone? I have a few '60s basses where the nut looks like bone but may be plastic.
Thanks! I love them as well. After simply (un)screwing the bridge down a bit lower, and a tweak of the truss rod, the bass is quite playable as is. But I’ll take it to someone who knows what they’re doing for a proper checkup, nut replacement, neck shim, etc. I enjoy making new music with lower end vintage instruments, so I’d like this bass to play as best as possible for what it is. It's probably late '65 - the year before it looked the same but had rounded-end pu's. 30" - but due to its design, it's as long as a Jazz bass. It has really hot singles (looks like the ones in yours) so it has real presence/depth.
Yes pickups look the same, it’s good to know they’re decent! I’m trying to figure out the correct length strings to buy for mine. 30 1/4” scale length, but I have the trapeze tailpiece to consider. I’ve measured various points on the bass, read thru the FAQ page, started a thread about it, and I still haven’t ordered a set.
Then there’s flats vs rounds. I’m playing classic/garage rock with a pick, but I’m afraid the rounds will rattle big time. Then there’s string gauge. Extra light I am told, because the necks on these can’t handle anything more.
I just want a set of strings, man.

I have a Conrad ss hollow-body and I strung it with LaBella flats, short scale as it has a 2x2 hs. My Del Rey came w/flats so I don't know what they are. Is your tone knob wired backwards? (full clock-wise/10 = more bass) Apparently it's what they did then on basses and guitars. I don't know about 'needing' extra light strings - the neck does have a tr. I think medium gauge would be fine.
