Bag? What type of optical illusion is this? I didn't see any bag over the loudness of that bass! Also an engineer, bassist and geek, this is the nicest bag I've ever owned.View attachment 4152014 View attachment 4152016

What bass is that even? It's beautiful! What a headstock, body shape & the wood on it is perfect. Never seen one like this!![]()
Thanks for the reply! I just looked it up, on first glance a black one came up in search so it turns out I have seen it. I think Dimmu Borgir bassist played that very black one I saw in the early 2000s.I believe its called a Warwick Buzzard. Love the reverse double P config on those... Just adds to its charm!

I just didn't recognize it at all because I've never seen such a badass wooden one before! It's even better than the black one. Going to check these out, I've always lusted after Warwicks but never had one.
They sound so sexy everytime I play one at a store though. I think I should maybe just go with the entry rockbass line they have if I don't end up saving up enough.
Those inverted pickups also threw me for a loop there, very unique.

@MovinTarget I just looked up how much it cost & some euros came up. It seemed to have made me age a few years & I forgot how to compare it in US currency all of a sudden. I'm going to have to go & fork out an organ for one of those! I farded & shidded.

I definitely knew I was going to be paying out on the heavy side for one, probably up to like 4k as I expected. But 8-9k Euros is so crazy. I bet they are worth every penny. Going to definitely be on the used market soon as I'm ready to buy.Um, yeah them Warwicks ain't cheap... Might check the Reverb market or even here in the classifieds!
so as it turns out you are correct Sir !Alnico 5's Split Coils near 11k RULE ! I just got an Inductance meter and I'm going to be doing more research into any other variables.
Dang thing weights more than either of my Jazz basses, but I can't let the birth year bass go.Thanks, I'll take the green Precision!
Better buy a pair of iron pants tho if you expect to play it seated... The lower horn on that Buzzard could gore you worse than a bullfight!Absolutely, that's what I meant though if I don't end up saving up enough for a mid to higher tier Warwick like I hope then I will just end up with the Rockbass.
Man this bass pulled me left though, looks like a dream. So creative, looks like a literal work of art.![]()

so as it turns out you are correct Sir !After I gave back that wonderful '63 I had to have that big bouncy bottom and bam there was a Duncan "60's pride" on the 'verb I snagged . I have to say it's really great , very very close to the vibe of the '63 . Bravo Mr. Duncan Bravo !
