Three in my toolbox:
1. 2011 Fender American Standard Precision (my main player)
2. 2018 Fender Player Series fretless Jazz (mods include pickups, pickguard, knobs and tuning machines)
and the newest addition;
3. 2022 Sterling StingRay 4 (mods include new tuning machines)
I've mostly been a passive bass player in my 41 year career thus far. I owned three active Ibanez basses between 2002 and 2010, and went back to the Precision in 2012.

Just got something that I thought I wouldn't ever buy. I got a Ric 5 string. I was expecting a floppy B string abs wasn't bad at all. Not as tight as my Spector Dimensions, but it was good.

I like the neck pickup much better than in a 4003. I like the bridge, no pickup cover to remove either. It sounds fatter than a 4003 and I actually like it better. Just would have liked it in black with a black pick guard

I always wanted a black Ricky 4003 bass , I had to get one until I saw the 4003 s8 Rickenbacker
I was finally gonna have a black Rickenbacker and an 8 string to boot , why an 8 string ?
My KRAMER XL-8 was stolen in 83.
I special ordered my Rick 8 str.
Got it about 2 months later
My first Rickenbacker finally !!!!
It played it for about a month
I wanted a black Rickenbacker so bad for so long
I had no doubt I was gonna love it
I was shocked when I FN hated everything about it
Except how it looked. .
SQUIER influenced my playing style big time back then.
I mean no disrespect to you or to Rickenbacker basses.
It's just me telling my "unhappy ending"
Rickenbacker story.

Nice collection!! A good friend of mine is ridiculous drummer. We always crack jokes at each other. When I saw your title... I zoomed and screenshot and sent to him. Lol. He comes back with. "That's cold man. It's me and that bass player locking down that pocket " lol

I started on drums and still play. It's funnier when you factor that in.

Also thank you!
