I did a quick photoshop of my bass with black hardware, and it is definetly the way to go.

Yeah, you know, the more I think about it, the more I realize your shame for having this bass with chrome hardware should be unbearable. However, relief is on the way... in the interest of serving my fellow TB bretheren, I'll relieve this incredible pain FREE OF CHARGE(!!)... but act fast before I change my mind! My shipping address is...
:hiding:

Well, I haven't even seen the bass in person yet, so for all I know the chrome may not bother me a bit. We'll see!
Even better. I'll call Pete and give him the corrected shipping address, and I won't even ask you to pay the phone charges... yep, I'm THAT cool...

If Vic or somebody was interested in buying that Skjold, I'd work out a deal with them. I'm not sure that is what you are getting at, but I'd have no problem selling at this point.

Again, I have this weird love affair with my Roscoe, so if somebody was to offer me cash for this Skjold, I would just send the bass right back out.

Sorry, failed attempt at me being uber-silly and ridiculous. The idea is that you'd pay in full for the bass, but send it to me free just because of the chrome hardware. :)

Oh, I see.... Would you at least pay the shipping charge? UPS quotes it to be $2800. It is mostly in the cost for insurance....

Got to see Tom's blue/green burst fretless yesterday when I took a trip down to Pete's shop. I think Tom wasted his money. He could have gone without the Skjold preamp.. because even in passive mode it had the honest to goodness best fretless tone I've ever heard. I'm not just saying that to be nice.. it sounded freakin amazing. And as usual, when the preamp is engaged it even got better.

Congrats Tom, it is amazing. It's got tons of "mwah" when you want it, it can get really growly, and the definition on the low end is remarkable.

And its a freakin' beauty...I didn't imagine it would look that good until I saw it in person on Saturday. You are going to love this.
