Sorry, Paul - just a quick visit to drop off my 6-string and pay Pete some $$$ while I have it in my pocket! ... and drool some more over that wicked spalt that graces the top of my instrument...
I think Juneau was going to drop by this afternoon, though, so maybe he will help out. His fan-fret beast is quite a bass as well.
Yup, she's pretty amazing. I love the C-4 pickup and the variety of tones that I can get out of that monster.
The redwood that Pete picked out for my new 7 almost puts that redwood to shame.
He knows I'm a sucker for that deep, 3-D, looks like you could reach in an touch it kind of figuring and he picked up a couple pieces of just mind numbing stuff to bait me into buying another bass.
Guess it worked.

The Skjold is kicking major booty...I mean it - this bass is just out-of-hand good. It's SOOOO hard to put it down...just does everything well.

I feel yer "pain"... damn hard to put mine down too... something seriously hooked up in mine for my prefs. Almost scares me a little bit, 'cause I want my next one to have the same magic.

well you know I know, but I have been thinking about buying it back myself being the original owner, but I have two in the current batch and need $$$$ so I am on hold.
However, for a small fee (since I need $$$$$) I will tell you, Nickybass has it.
BTW, didn't I tell you! Until you get another you will be haunted, Pete puts something on or in these basses that makes you want to have one. Some call it a hex, but I don't believe in hexes, or witchcraft, could be a little mojo though. Tony, I believe you will be in the club in the not to distant future.
...tho based on a recent post from him I read about it, you'll have to REALLY REALLY want it back to get it...

I was SERIOUSLY jonezin' for mine while it was out being repaired a short while ago.
I'd like in on this. I finally got my Skjold a week or so ago and I absolutely love it. Great playing bass and stupid versatile. My favorite aspect of the preamp is the passive rolloff. I'll have my 4 eventually but until then this will certainly do.

This just in....
I met Matt Morgan at Pete's shop this last Saturday and got a chance to check in on the batch. All neck pockets are cut out on all the basses and look great. Pete is starting work on headstock laminates and matching those caps to body tops.
Somewhere in there, he's going to start sculpting and rounding out the bodies -- looking forward to seeing that. He has one "prototype" Lion's Pride body in the shop for practice, and I like the curves on it. Looking forward to seeing that on my bass.
Progress is underway....slowly, but surely.
