So here's mine. In the move to sell it but it's an iffy situation. Figured I could maybe pull a membership if I can :D

I don't want to sell it but this is my 2nd Warwick and I owned a Thumb for a few weeks recently which was my 3rd Warwick, lol. Either way, I'm not a huge Fender supporter after going through a whole lot of them and after playing and owning Warwick's. It's hardly ever that I'd toss one back because of "production flaws".

I'm moving all of my gear just to keep the thing without question and it's my main axe right now. My students all love it though. They've all become anti-Fender after playing on my Wick :bassist:

Yes, they're great for funk, just listen to Stuart Zender's one during the Jamiroquai years.
An even funkier choice would be a Streamer Jazzman, because you can have the Warwick sound mixed with that funky Music Man tone.
I'd use DR Hi beams, the best strings IMHO.

This is me playing my '98 Streamer LX with my band here in Chile, just jammin' on Lauryn Hill's X-Factor. The sound lacks hi-end, i'm not a big fan of that sharp edge on top, but that day the was virtually no high end..oops... i was using Ernie Ball strings that day (when i went to the shop for DR's they didn't have stock...and i can say the DR's are a MUCH better choice in my opinion).

It's funny, but here in Chile during the late 90's and early 00's every bass player seemed to have a Warwick, maybe because the prices were good and there weren't that many other good quality basses available. Also, Jorge Campos, one of the most famous bass players from Chile was a "famous" Warwick endorsee (they constructed a double neck bass just for him) so maybe that's another reason why there were that many Warwicks here. I got mine because i was a BIG Stuart Zender/Jamiroquai fan, in fact i got it in Burgundy Red based on the one Stuart uses on the Space Cowboy video.
