Wow, that Thumb NT is just stunning.

Is it just me or do the Thumb NT's and Thumb BO's look like they're a totally different shape?

Totes, the NTs seem more squat and round while the BOs are taller kinda.

There is a difference in shape at the neck to body joint that throws it a bit too.

Has anyone had this problem - I've noticed that the bridge on my Corvette is really dusty (it gets played a lot but sits on its stand otherwise) and I'm having trouble finding a way to dust it (apart from taking the bridge apart) - tried a Q-tip but without much success.

Any ideas?

If you're worried about it causing problems, I found that cotton buds (q-tips) work a treat for cleaning the bridge.

Not unless you shake the can up and some of the propellant comes out. You can always just give some test sprays before you aim it at the bass.

There is a liquid propellant contained in those cans that can spray out if you shake it or turn it upside down. It gets really cold and leaves a frozen residue on whatever it touches. As far as the effects on parts and finishes go,...I can't really comment.

When I worked in 1 hour photo finishing the lab techs would spray the propellant into empty film canisters out the lid on really quickly and about 30 seconds later the lid would loudly pop off from the pressure it created.

A more convenient option would be a real air compressor.

Hey guys, Just picked up a older corvette proline. I need to file the bridge down for the low B. I was wondering though, do I need to file the slot so the string seats on the second part of of the bridge. I'm leaving out the door, thats why I didn't do a search. Also its my 1st wick. Thanks

I ran into the same problem when I first got my Warwick. If you use taper wound strings, you can avoid filing the bridge entirely. I use DR strings, but there are plenty of other manufacturers that make tapered strings. Hope this helps!
