Is the string spacing on these the tight one like the SS2 or the wider SS1? (can't find this info on the W site)

I think the info isn't on the W site because the string spacing is adjustable on most Warwick basses. Between 16.5 and 19mm IIRC.

Owned couple 4 and 5 string stage 2's with ovankol and wenge necks even a newer model with slim neck. Owned a pnut2 and 3 and a lot of other warwicks

Well, I like the look and sound of some clips of the stage 2 that I have viewed on youtube. What would one of those run me? Should I buy new of wait for a used one to pop up? I heard the older ones had slimmer necks and the new ones like baseball bats?

Ya i think mostly if you have questions or inquiries about a bass Warwick's direct community forum is a better place. Other then that it just seems that this forum is a gallery of everyone's nice Warwicks.

you can get a used stage 2 for around $2000.00 I have never had a baseball bat neck on a stage 2. They always seemed slimmer than the bolt ons. The 2006 5 string stage 2 I had was a bit thicker but it was very comfy for me.
