I have a Nirvana black RB Corvette and I'm thinking that it might look better with all black hardware. Not sure. Anyone seen one, or have a different model with black stain and black hardware? I'd love to see it.

Further - if anyone would be interested in trading their *black* 4 string bridge and tuners for mine in *chrome* - feel free to drop me a PM.

Question: do the old Triumphs have a serial somewhere, and if so, where can I find it?

I asked the curator at the Framus Museum. Most of them did not have a serial number, and a few had a sort of number that was not a serial number. If you can find what you think might be one...let me know and I will run it by him. Sorry I can't give you more information at this time. Thanks!

Got it from MUG out of Gothenburg, Sweden. No feedback issues so far, even when playing a foot from an Aguilar DB 751 + 810.

From the few pics I've seen of the backs, the neck was painted. Do you know if what is used for the neck wood? Also is the neck on the slimmer side or chunky?

Def on the chunky side, very P-bassish but not baseball bat either. Neck is maple IIRC.

Yeah, it feels really good to play. I have it strung with flats ATM, sounds amazing. It sounds amazing with rounds as well, ofc. It was love at first note. Tried the bass on a Thursday, sold a bass on Friday, came home with the bass on a Saturday!

I honestly think this is Warwicks best bass since they introduced the Stage II!

Very nice bass, The_Owl! The Star Bass Pro Series has a Maple Neck with Ekanga veneers, and Wenge fingerboard. The back of the neck is finished the same as the body. Let me know if you have any questions!

That's a nice looking bass - thanks for posting that. It doesn't sell me 100% on the idea of switching over to all-black hardware, mind you - that wood finish looks better with chrome than many others - but I would probably make the trade if anyone did want to go through with it.

Its about the wood, the pickups and most importantly IMO the strings. The $$ I play with DR Sunbeams lets me do just about anything, I can even get a wicked Jaco tone!(On a Fretted!)
