what made down the value of used Pedulla ?
I think that some of the used Pedullas have had abused truss rods and because it's very expensive to fix a damaged truss rod, that has pushed used prices down. If you find a good used pedulla, there's really no reason it should cost only half the price of a new one, but that's about what I paid for my flawless used Pedulla Thunderbass ET5 that was only a few months old.

Hey, I buy or trade for USED gear at least 90% of the time, in fact I think I've only bought 4 new basses out of the 30+ that I've owned. I don't need custom stuff, and actually prefer broken in stuff.... no worries about the first scratch or ding. Although, I must say a lot of bassist keep their stuff in near mint condition!

I think that as long as the economy is bad, there will continue to be INSANE bargains in the classifieds and on the 'bay. It's not necessarily a reflection on the quality of the gear, but more a sign of the desperate state of the US economy.

I'm not quite sure why Pedulla resale value is low, although it's great for buyers (I got my 2 Raptures for about 1/3 of new, T-Bolt for about 1/2). The Raptures are pretty much my favorite basses ever regardless of price.

It probably didn't help that Pedulla was at the high end of the Guitar Center price scale. Most GC Pedullas I've seen sat around for a long time, got trashed by the kiddies, and were blown out on clearance.

I don't know if anyone has the same experience, but my Pedullas sound great with whatever strings I put on them--round, flat, nickel, steel, taper/regular core, heavy/light--and B string is always excellent. Most other basses I've had are much more finicky.

I think the low resale is due to the fact that not many A list players openly play them. Pedullas don't get the exposure that other top level basses get and are not associated with a big players name. A lot of bassists make their buying decisions on what they see their idols playing, so there are not a lot of players seeking them. I personally love em' !! I have owned 4 and still have 2 and one is my #1 bass. I personally have only seen 1 A list player using one and that was long after I had mine.
