The Reverend Club (Part 2)

Remember this anyone? I took a flyer on it. I am a Jazz guy and always have been. I played a friends 'fish back in the late '90's, loved it but could not afford one. Things changed and this showed on my radar screen and I grabbed it.

The neck is fine (for now?)....I considered flipping this into something else as I have a friend who is a Reverend guy and he will buy this from me....but I absolutely LOVE this instrument! It is soooo comfortable. The sound is great thru my SWR WM15. Muddy at one end and clear at the other. With flats on it..it's like butter.....

I feel like have started to neglect my Jazz Aerodyne....but I cannot stop myself from picking this puppy up!

Anyone know what the color is called?

They had one mahogany, but it was lots lighter than mine.
They also had that "weird-swirl" I have, called blackwood, and I think the pic is my bass.
I'll have to check when I get home.

I had 5L # 037 in Navy, based on that excellent archive page! (no bugeye btw!), so I'd vote for Navy

another observation on bridges--look at the last two basses on the archive page--they have different bridges--the wood topped (which I have, was called a premium topped mahogany) has a thicker base to the bridge, where the last one has the "stamped" bridge, like my earlier j/j vvt 4 does. Anybody know anything about the bridges?

Oh...I was so close to ordering the PJ in Lava swirl with a maple board. But I had asked Joe if he could do one in the '69 lime green since they were doing the special run of guitars in that color at the time. I still wavered even after placing the order...Stuck with the lime though!

Could be navy but it looks like rpj blue that is reflecting the darker blue of the carpet.

That looks like a rhythm traveler kit

I think you are correct on BOTH accounts...The Fish is much lighter in color than that pic shows. My guess would be the rpj blue.

The drum kit is indeed a rhythm traveler. It's a terrific little set and is pretty versitile.

Thanks for the help on the color...you guys know your fish!

Since I already have a Lava Swirl BH5, I think the lime green is the color I'd most like to have. :)
