hey there, this arrived today!!

I noticed the a string open buzz thing straight away and tied a piece of leather round it, over the A and under the others then back around, seems to work fine, hoping it doesnt remind me too much of that victor wooten scrunchie thing...

First gig tonight, first tune "Folsom Prison Blues"!

me too. I've wanted to hear one of those for awhile now.

+1. I nearly pulled the trigger on one on ebay once.

I'm really digging my EBS Valve Drive though. The PJ fish through the Valve Drive is devastatingly heavy, yet still quite smooth and with tons of low end. Hide the children!
It's quite unlike most OD or fuzzes that I've tried which usually make my bass sound like a darned geetar. I also like the fact that the EQ is purely passive. I'm not sure how much the tube has to do with the smoothness; the Multidrive was good, too.

no no, I use it with bass. It works incredibly well.

thats one nice funky colour on that Rev mine is white but this one is just killer I am referring to the blue bass from Tanuki

I think I like his black pickup covers better than my white ones...
Does anyone know what black covers would fit these?
I tired some off a Brice Douglass I had laying around. Those did not fit-the pole spacing was off.
That may just be because they were Brice stuff tho...

If the pickup covers come off, it might be easiest to remove them and spray them black rather than trying to find a match that fits.

thought of that...plastic doesn't always grip paint the best, but I can scuff 'em up first.
I know the four sting J's are just standrad fender, and I got replacement covers from basspartsresource.
can't find 5 string covers anywhere, yet.

i know what you mean, white pick-up covers have always disturbed me a little..

from the man on pup covers (he did tell me previously 4 string j's were same sized as fender, and indeed, they were):
We only have white. Sorry, not aware of other brands that fit.
