The Mahogany Reverend Brad Houser 5 thats bounced around TB is on the UPS truck for delivery in a couple hours.

I've seen three traded here in the last 6 months, which is probably as many as they made in mahogany.
Mine, another one with the hard case, and one recently with the gig bag.

Report back, I'm curious on what you'll think of it in terms of what we discussed offline...

Heck... I thought about sticking my Hunter Green/Maple fish in the TB Classifieds... but now I am thinking I should stick it on eBay with a BIN.

when i sold my BH5 here, it sold for right at $1k IIRC.
when the buyer flipped it a week or so later on ebay, it went for several hundred more.

Many times people buy or trade for something they're not sure they're going to like. Often that realization is obvious and it's just as easy to move the instrument while you're fresh on it.

Personally, I traded for a BH5 that I received just this week. (No, I'm not flipping it). It's definately more organic in nature than my other basses are. I'd never touched, played or really heard a Reverend Brad Houser before, so there's always the chance of hating something you've never felt played or heard.

After a few nights of playing it I'm definitely starting to get to know it. I'm going to love it as a recording bass, and think a string change I made is going to make it fit more in a window that I like for live basses. We'll see.

Also have to keep in mind that the Ebay seller has more costs to eat than a typical Talkbass sale, and likely Chef could have sold his higher if he took time and trolled it for months. Just depends how patient you are. Ebay gets you in front of more eyes every week.
