Early BH5 had exposed poles; later ones had cover poles.
AFAIK, there are no drop in replacements that fit.
After checking the Bass Strings Online site, I would go for the short scale La Bella Deep Talkin' flats. But the question is, do I string through the body or through the end of the bridge? Is one way better than the other?
