Hey guys,

A 99 Rumblefish RXL that I have been borrowing and playing has been offered to me. I'm having a hard time finding out the real value of it. Wondered if you could give me your opinion. It's in great shape. I love the bass. I just need to know it's true value.

If I do end up with this bass I will hold onto it until I find a 5 string Rumblefish 5L.

Man, one of the projects I have going on was offered a small endorsement deal from Reverend. Basically anything we want for cost. We didn't ask, it just sort of happened by a freak turn of events. I'm feeling a bit torn. One, I have no scratch at the moment, I just changed jobs and things are tight. 2 I've never played one. They look great. I've been wanting a hollow body and the dub-king looks killer. What are the normal pros/ cons of this type of deal? What do you think?

Well, I have played all of the new Reverend basses (excluding the brand new Meshell Ndegeocello) and I think they're all great basses. Also Reverend is about as good as it gets as a company. Lastly, being an endorsed artist is a huge help in displaying your legitimacy as a band. All that being said, You're the only one who can decide what is best for you... All I'm saying is that, if I were offered a deal from them, I'd take it.

Well, the last few listed on TB went for:

$1200 - Lava Swirl
$1200 - Bug Eye
$1250 - Black (And MINT!)
$1399 - Gold / Sadowsky Preamp
$1050 - Mahogany

I haven't seen many on Ebay lately.

Any thought on Half Rounds / Ground Wounds on a BH5? I play brighter than most, and have had good luck on other passive basses with them.

That being said I should be taking possession of a Bugeyed BH5 Monday. I loved my previous Reverends, but sold them when the market got Hot, and Warwick was calling my name! Playing Old School Rock with hints of Modern Hardness. Hoping the BH5 can knock a certain Valenti off of it's perch. :D
