That Baltic Amber pickguard is the nicest looking guard I've ever seen. Kills any tortoise shell!
There aren't any resources for it at all? I'd love to take a tracing of my Pbass pickguard and have one of those made!

I was just looking around for dealers online and I found them. They have a chat feature on their site and I had a few questions and was able to talk with the general manager. I got a good vibe from them, plus they threw in the case for free and shipping was cheap. I ordered it yesterday so it hasn't even shipped yet, but so far I'm really happy with how they handled everything.

I take from this that these basses have a particular unique sound. For the Justice the "skip if you need a ...aggressive bass" and for the Thundergun "skip if you are a "traditionalist" in...sound"; just what the heck does this mean?

My view is that ANY bass should be able to tonally be dialed in to match whatever sound one wants - with the exception of specialty basses that, for example, attempt to get a double bass sound.

And all these basses are priced very close to the same so price is not the consideration.

So my questions are to those of you that say you have played all of them.

Which two 4 string basses are the better all around basses?

For instance I play a Peavey USA Cirrus which I guess would fall under the category of "aggressive" as it sure as heck is with rotosounds. Does this suggest that I wouldn't be happy with the Justice "...skip if you need an aggressive bass"? And even though I am not generally a P-Bass fan I do have a 51 copy and do like it's sound even though its playability (as is any P-bass I have played) is nowhere near the Cirrus. Does this mean that I wouldn't like the sound of the Thundergun.

It appears that the Mercalli is one of the better all around basses. In your opinion is this a fair statement?

I know this post is not in-line with "club" here is my bass posts, but nowhere else could I get these questions answered, and, at some point, I will post my Reverend bass.

I have a Decision that I love... I actually bought it as a knockaround, and it is now one of my primaries. I played a Mercalli 5, and if I were going to buy another bass it would be either the Mercalli 5 or the Dub King. I've owned a lot of stuff (listed in my profile) and the stuff Reverend is producing now is truly some of the best gear I've played. They are unique without being weird.

How is the fretwork and the nut on the Decision? I just ordered one which MIGHT be my primary.

How much does the Mercali 5 weigh? does it have neck dive?

Everything is great on my Decision. I like VERY low action, and I get it on the Decision with no issue... Also, as I have championed on this thread before, the customer service with Reverend is the best I have experienced. Great company that put's out great instruments.

Good to hear. I was told by the manager that sold me the bass that the setup and inspections are pretty much handled by one person, so they're very consistent?

Me too and I like the strings on the neck pretty much... I love the necks on these basses
