Hate to sound like a baby but .. by the end of the evening the binding of my 4003 hurts my right arm.

I wear a wrist band on my right arm. Slight adjustments throughout the night. Glorious results!

I know a guy who does that for his Jazz Bass too. I think the binding might be more noticeable against your skin (apparently, I've never noticed it myself) but resting your arm against anything long enough can do some damage.

Check your serial number, 77's did not have 1/2" pickup spacing...it may be an early 75 or 74 unless someone did a mod to it..

I felt the same way when I got my Ric 4003 after waiting 11 years. 13 years later I still look at it sometimes & think I own a Rickenbacker (grinning from ear to ear).

I am trying to go full traditional bassist status quo thingy lol. I just bought an ampeg svt4 pro and an ampeg svt810e with a plethora of ehx analog pedals. I was using a line 6 hd400 head with a 4x10 cab & a 1x15 cab. Once I got the Ric I found the tone coming from my line 6 wasn't as good as it can be. Now that I have the ampeg stuff it really brings out the tone of the Ric. Now I have a few weeks of learning the pedals and testing those for the right combos.

I always thought I wanted a Jetglo until I saw the Anthem video where Geddy is playing a white w/black trim one like that. I think that white one actually belonged to Alex Lifeson.

Anyway, the fact that i finally have a rick hasn't fully sunk in yet.

It took me over 20 years to finally get mine, and that feeling isn't going to wear off anytime soon.
