I'm typically more of a fan of mint or near mint Rics but, I must say, this one has me speechless. Simply awesome!

For a second I was trying to see in my mind a mint green Ricky but couldn't conjure it--then I got it, dah!

AWESOME!! Wish Rickenbacker would start production on the CII 5 with larger pick ups. There is a story with this bass, maybe you could tell us.

Those Ric copies look good, but I wonder if they're decent for the price?
of they're solid, I wouldn't mind upgrading the electronics.

I once played a 70's Ric copy that was nicer than many real Rics I have played - I spent an hour in the store with it and was sorely tempted to buy it, but I couldn't justify their asking price of $1000 for a copy. It really was a nice player - slim neck, neck through, beautifully made. Brand was called "Aspen" - never heard of it before or since. Someone bought it within a week cause it was gone when I went back. On the other end of the scale, i played a Hondo ric copy that was just garbage.
